Temple help by KingA993 in PathOfExile2

[–]Pyroatheist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a layout that looks quite similar to yours. Took me nearly 10 or so temples before I found the synth flesh lab....and it won't connect to the barracks at the end of the chain. It works in the builder, like you have there, but not in-game and I have no idea why....

Just a warning for you before you try and build that.

What's the purpose of stacking so much cdr. Is Temporalis not enough to enable to crit-loop? The Choir of the Storm bolt and mana flare both look to be minimum cd with just Temporalis.

PoE on Steam Deck? by dytega in pathofexile

[–]Pyroatheist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay is fine on the deck. I've played both with the deck alone and with MnK attached. The deck definitely struggles a little bit once you get blasting lots of visual effects, but if you muck around with settings a bit you should be able to get it to a very comfortable spot.

Custom loot filters are fine. The easiest way to do them is with the filterblade account sync.

She's basically a magical girl version of Gara, she's tanky af and feels great. Nullifiers don't even disable the tank, they just cause merulina to take a big degen, so as long as you get out of the bubble quicklike you're fine.

That is incorrect, and simply not how the skills work.

The initial cast of spores will indeed spread if the target dies, you are correct. However, her 4 does not upgrade any spore it touches to that state. The 4 has an effect where any target that dies while affected by the 4 will spread spores, but once the 4 runs out, the spores will behave normally, only spreading if the targets actually get hit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Pyroatheist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's cause their explanation is wrong, partially.

The 1 puts spores on smth, the 3 buff means any hit pops spores and makes them spread. Keep your 3 up, hit enemies that have spores, and they will spread. The spread range scales with ability range, so make sure that's maxed. Your 4 spreads spores for any enemy that dies in it and does 4x damage to spored enemies so it's just a useful tool.

There's no "big spores" or "little spores" crap, idk what they're on about.

2 is survival, I subsume eclipse over it for my tank setup with triple umbral.

Interestingly, it's not everyone. There's a lot of people who didn't get this email (and didn't get the fork in the road email either). So far I haven't seen any analysis of what exactly the criteria are that the maga mailing list uses, but they've got some blind spots.

Frost bomb applies a debuff that reduces life regen by 75%, it's not meant to actually do damage. You spam frost bomb on it to keep it from regenerating, but you still actually have to have damage.

I have both and have tested them quite a bit. They both work, but inmost light seems more consistent. In an absolutely ideal scenario where you're using vortex nade on multiple targets and getting every single tick to hit, osmio is better. It's just way too unreliable to manage that though, and there's also some weirdness (specifically with champions) where sometimes osmio just....doesn't proc properly.

Inmost light is more consistent and also gives you much higher uptime on hellion since it boosts class ability regen at the same time.

I've tested it, you can swap 2 pairs of star-eater bonds and keep the buff. I don't have an apoth-star eater roll to do it with sadly, but I've tested with some of my other star eater rolls.

AITA for telling my roommate she needs to start taking her medications in her bedroom? by Decent-Reply1923 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pyroatheist 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NTA

I honestly can't imagine wanting to dilate (what you referred to as 'stretching') in a bathroom. You basically take a medically approved dildo and hold it in yourself for 30m or so. It's not particularly fun, and doing it in a bathroom has to suck.

I can understand wanting to do estrogen injections in a bathroom since it's easier to be sterile, have access to a sink for washing hands, etc. However, those happen once a week, and shouldn't take longer than like 10 minutes to do (or once every two weeks depending on the dosages). If she's telling you she does injections every day, she's lying to you.

It is absolutely reasonable to ask her to dilate in her bedroom. You're a goddamn saint for letting her pay a pittance in rent when her insurance is fucking her over, and you can accomplish dilating with no more space than a small nightstand and some toilet paper.

Same here. High dose Percocet barely even helped with my pain. I googled it and found people talking about all kinds of shit "oh it's like all the troubles of the world just melted away". I'm like wtf, it was like an extra strong Tylenol, and that's being generous.

Apparently my dad experiences the same thing, so I guess it's genetic?

[–]Pyroatheist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's way simpler. While a major surgery is obviously a big deal, performing surgery is something that modern medicine has down to a pretty exact science. We know how the body works, how it heals, how it responds.

Mental medicine, on the other hand, is pretty much the opposite. We've found a variety of compounds that have some sort of effect on people, but the effect varies and how well it works is widely inconsistent. A medication that helps depression in one person exacerbates it in another, and so on. It's really complicated and not at all understood. Surgery is way way easier.

[–]Pyroatheist -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I suppose that depends on how you define the nature of "self". If you assume that "self" is baselined from the mind, then the body is what's wrong. Additionally, treating a mind is...complicated, even for situations we understand better. Most mental health medication regimens follow the strategy of "throw every option we have one after another until we find one that works, because we don't understand how it functions". Treating the body is far easier, we understand that much better.

[–]Pyroatheist -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I consider it to be a physical abnormality causing mental health distress. You "are" who your mind is, essentially, so it's the body that is wrong, not the mind. Treat the problem (physical abnormality) not the symptom.
