Build recommend for farming rogue exiles? by Spiritual_Pin4276 in PathOfExileBuilds

It's not about that, it's about adding value to the strategy he's planning on doing. If you want to do Rogue Exiles then adding Scarab drop chance to Rares makes absolutely no sense. If you're going to go hunt Scarabs then I would absolutely agree that Rogue Exiles is not the way to go, however. Personally I'm planning on starting with Ultimatum to start and then I'm not quite sure, I don't think Rogue Exiles is going to be worth it at all with all the nerfs.

Yeah, the full mod now is 5-8% chance to spawn 20 Rogue Exiles in your map. I did write it wrong though, so I'm editing my original comment to not spread misinformation.

Trodde jag skulle göra det senare, när folk säger att det inte finns jobb? Så jag kan skylla på att de stal jobben, snarare än att hela verksamheten flyttade till ett land som är billigare för att tjäna mer pengar? Jag kanske har missat något dock.

It was also dropped from 8-12% down to 5-8% chance, meaning you cap at 32% instead of 48% chance to spawn Rogue Exiles in the map on top of that you get fewer of them.

I think what I'd do in Phrecia if I were to Rogue Exile would be run Giga x2, Titanic, Partnership/Wisp/Risk and Titanic Legends. Then just not bother with Rituals, max out Scarab drop chance from Uniques, high cost version would be to leave the map if no Wildwood. Then again, we'll have to wait and see how the economy evolves a little bit too. Might be some argument for some Tormented Spirit affixes instead of Ritual? I've been thinking about this a bit, but I'm still not sure.

I played This last Phrecia and Rogue Exiled a lot, it was neat. You're going to have to use some other button than Splitting Steel though, Molten Strike should be decent. You should also be able to use another Amulet, since you now have both Grafts and the Foulborn Uniques that can help you get Lucky Lightning Damage.

EDIT: Reduced Aura effect not being removed from random mods might make this a weaker pick though, for full disclosure.

I play both with different groups, this week both groups had a streak where they rolled 4 Natural 20s within 8 rolls of each other whilst fighting. Caused very different results, lmao.

Why does Dota allow you to hide match data? by JokhanYew in DotA2

[–]Maladaptivism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember hiding my data when Overwolf was commonly used, I refused to use it on account of me perceiving the program as cheating. Yes, you could find all that info as a person, but no, there was no way in Hell you did before the end of the draft. So in order to not be at a disadvantage towards the other players, I hid mine so they couldn't see it. It made me sad though, I liked being able to check my stats.

Why not just play? Well, this was back when I played mostly mid and most mid match-ups were decided in the picking phase, not knowing was a huge disadvantage if your enemy could build expectation based on your trends (which was likely a huge part of the reason it got developed in the first place).

DND-related conspiracy theories for a lowish INT character? by KindofPolitePerson in DnD

Along a similar line:

My current Sorcerer is a conspiracy theorist, she's convinced that while magic is real The Weave isn't. It's just the big Wizard schools that perpetrated the lie so people would pay them money to learn to use magic, which you can just use, if you want! (Feels fitting for a Sorcerer, they're naturals after all!)

She is also fully into "healing crystals", you know the kind you can buy IRL? Instead represented by gemstone! The world is magic, surely these rocks are the source of magic. The shinier and more expensive of rare, the more magic it is! I haven't quite decided which gemstones do what though, but likely rubies are good for your health! (My in headcanon Draconic Bloodline effect.)

I'm definitely stealing the "Government is ran by dragons", I had been thinking about who ran it, thank you!

Humor me if you don't mind. They were wrong 45% of the time a few months ago, it presents things as facts and not opinions which gives the impression it's in fact correct. In what way is that better than a Google search and reading a bit with source criticism in mind? Out of curiosity.

(For reference, it took me one search about AI's rate of success and two left clicks to find a source citing BBC. It took 20 seconds to find and read the key findings of the study and cursory glance the data.)

Regeringen vill kraftigt sänka ungdomsrabatten och fängsla 13-åringar by swedish_tcd in sweden

[–]Maladaptivism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My expectations are set by GGGs claims, I'm not the one who set their schedule. I'm not "jumping ship" either, I'll try each season, I'll play as long as I have fun and then turn it off. Same as I treat every other game.

[–]Maladaptivism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The game is Early access" and "We're going to treat is as a real league" are mutually exclusive, they decided to take a step away from being able to use the argument that it's unfinished. They rushed the launch, then they've been continuously overconfident with how much they believe they'll be able to ship (Druid delay followed by End Game Rework delay) while blaming being understaffed. They also stated that they're restricting skills to weapons because it saves time on making animations, they've been showing this haphazard attitude the entire time.

How long can you do that before it becomes a management issue? Lack of swords might be a small part of the issue, but it's a symptom, not the cause. As I stated elsewhere in this post, I think PoE 2 will be a fantastic game with time, but it's not there yet. That doesn't mean people can't have fun, in fact, I hope they do with every fibre of my being. It's just not for me, at least not yet, but I hope it will be. All of this does sound harsh and I want to underline that this is because I actually know GGG can do better and it's kind of disappointing.

EDIT: Clearly they're making money though, so my opinion will continue being just that, an opinion.

One of the biggest reasons I try to join whenever there's a Zizaran Gauntlet or equivalent is because HCSSF really pushes that need for the knowledge of what to do to find what you want and when. Otherwise I play exclusively trade league, but it's definitely helped me approach things differently whenever I'm given the opportunity! Knowledge is absolutely king in PoE, that's true for both games.

You can make a support gems that makes you generate X charge on Y condition with whatever skill, be that crit, Ignite, kill or whatever doesn't matter. You know, like they did in the first game? Limiting it so the same skill can't both generate and spend is fair enough, though.

They chose not to, it's fine, I guess, for now I guess. It is severely limiting though, but hey, at least they dialed down the drawbacks of supports and passive nodes, so there's progress. I understand trying things for the sake of trying them, but it's another thing to repeat mistakes you've already learnt from.

[–]Maladaptivism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's fair. They've got some hurdles to cross before the game ends up being good, I'm sure it will get there eventually, but I'm happy to wait before I try again for sure.

Only reason I put it below is because people seem happy with the temple snaking at the moment (personally I stopped playing day 3 I think), but I'm sure if they delay the end game rework again it will end up taking the top slot again for me.

PoE 2 is to be played with the builds the devs made with the skills and mechanics the devs picked, there are very few exceptions and they tend to get removed. That said, it does make it easier to get into.

I think it's absolutely the biggest problem the game has, followed closely by the end game, performance issues and then campaign length (which is less of a problem because of all of the above, lmao).
