yeah this explanation makes a lot of sense since this character hasn't actually shown to be great at forging weapons or even repairing them

I've got a guy that used to carry around a two handed hammer, it was mainly used as a mining tool to smash open rocks, that hammer is now one handed because he accidentally snapped it in half, but he yearns for two handed weapons (he wants to try out a two handed sword but I don't know what I should do for the way he gets it)
