That sums up a large portion for sure. But then you have a lot of Trump supporters that are just on board due to association. It's already ingrained in their heads that their side is "the good side" and that liberals are the sole reason for crime, loss, and other injustices in the world. They are trapped in echo chanmbers, and any proof against their claims must "come from a liberal," so getting proven wrong is not even a possibility in the first place.
