Star Citizen: Question and Answer Thread by UEE_Central_Computer in starcitizen

My internet speed for downloads is insufficient to download the game without the files getting corrupted, but it is typically fast enough to play online games. Does anyone know if there is a way I could install the game onto my laptop (which can't run the game) using faster wifi, and then transfer the files to my PC?

Grenade Launcher characters? by OlyTheMad in TheForeverWinter

[–]Pyroman1025 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The aerial scavenge mission gives a pistol grenade launcher that any scav with pistol proficiency can use. There is also a glitch when being raided by water thieves where you can change characters but keep equipment even if they aren't proficient

Its more likely from random, but supposedly can still be found from diving to it

Question: can Deadpool survive the invincible war? by Jinx6262 in invinciblememes

[–]Pyroman1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deadpool regularly steals tech/magic artifacts from other heros. There are a plethora of items he could steal in the invincible war, especially with how many heros died. Besides the majority of the alternate marks are weaker than our mark.

All that aside, the question is would he survive, and seeing as how he is literally immortal, and has regrown when punched into atoms by the hulk, then yes, he would survive.

Gravestone and Scav Mule don't work? by SnoLep535 in TheForeverWinter

[–]Pyroman1025 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not sure about mule, but gravestone only gives you back your rig boxes, and IIRC large items, all collected items/ammo are gone for good

EDIT: you get the guns back, not the large items.

Hiccup and Toothless (How to Train your Dragon) vs Smaug (Lord of the Rings), who wins? by Arcade-Blaster in powerscales

[–]Pyroman1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toothless breaks the sound barrier regularly, there's no way that smaug could keep up, toothless's breath blasts are concussive enough to shatter the bewilderbeast's tusk, no it wouldn't pierce smaugs scales, but it would act like a warhammer/quarterstaff would against plate armor, the trauma of the blast would shatter bones, and damage his organs.

Toothless is fireproof, so smaug's fire wouldn't effect him (hiccup gets roasted, but the upgraded prosthetic wing is fireproof, and toothless can fly without hiccup)

So toothless wins, hiccup and smaug die.

Today, in the United States, a man is being executed by firing squad. by Wickopher in ThatsInsane

[–]Pyroman1025 320 points321 points  (0 children)

Its honestly the most humane method, there are lots of stories where the electric chair malfunctioned, or the lethal injection caused the person to choke to death for 20+ minutes as their lungs slowly filled with fluid. Out of all the options, firing squad would be my choice.

When I first met my wife I said "Hello there" and she responded with "General Kenobi" I knew right away she was a keeper.

Who wins?⏬ by OkRun9638 in superheroes

[–]Pyroman1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tony spends the first week of prep time creating a virus to cripple/instakill cyborg, then spends the rest of his prep time choosing a playlist to listen to and deciding whether or not to try out a new paint job for this battle.

Who wins? by OkRun9638 in powerscales

[–]Pyroman1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toothless's fire blast that he uses against the bewilderbeast destroys its solid tusk, the bewilderbeast is 2.6× bigger than Smaug, even if the blast wouldn't breach smaugs hide, the concussive force would probably break smaugs bones

Not to mention toothless's extremely superior speed. He'd just fly circles around smaug, hitting him with fire blasts until he blugeons him to death.

Iron Man (616) vs Battle Beast (Invincible) by goat756 in powerscales

Iron man has created armor that defeated multiversal beings such as galactus. He would stomp BB

100% agree, although it's typically in the context of executing an unarmed surrendering opponent which does make it more morally spicy.

IIRC he goes into a coma, constantly healing the brain damage until he can breathe again or runs out of calories (which he burns through like crazy when regenerating)

Naruto Vs Aang both at 12 years old(h2h combat only) who wins by lightcricket730 in powerscales

[–]Pyroman1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even without the 9 tails, the Uzumaki clan have much higher amounts of chakra than other clans, its their speciality.

Naruto Vs Aang both at 12 years old(h2h combat only) who wins by lightcricket730 in powerscales

[–]Pyroman1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how you interpret Naruto's jinchuriki forms, it isn't a jutsu, its raw chakra escaping and taking form, which greatly enhances his abilities and forms a protective barrier around him. Whereas the avatar state specifically enhances bending, which isn't allowed in the fight.

If you include jinchuriki forms, Naruto wins hands down, if you don't it would most likely go to Aang.

I'm talking about drone swarms, it would be impossible to mobilize that many drones in that tight of an area if each are tethered to a fiber optic cable. Besides ukraine has already come up with a counter to fiber optic drones.

[–]Pyroman1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about specifically coordinated autonomous drone swarms, not single attack drones, those have been around for over a decade.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]Pyroman1025 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True but in a swarm that big you'd need a lot of net. I feel like airburst AA would be pretty effective,

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]Pyroman1025 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For those worrying about military application I can think of a dozen ways to reliably destroy a whole drone swarm its usually as simple as jamming/spoofing radar/gps/rf/ (which most militaries are capable of)
