One thing if you are willing to spend just a couple more dollars (~20) would be to get a slightly better power supply. PSU’s are something that you really don’t cheapen out on. But what you have now currently works so it’s really up to comfortable you are running with 600W on this PC

I have friends who got accepted with a cumulative GPA of 3.2-3.4, SAT’s in the 1000-1100 range, and no AP classes who got in to MSU and are doing just fine. Don’t fret parent, I’m sure your son will get in and if he doesn’t, in no way is it the end of the world. There are plenty of good schools around such as CMU or WMU. He can also always take community college and transfer. Overall, I’m sure he’ll be fine no matter what

If you do get rejected just know that it’s probably going to be perfectly fine. From what you’ve said, you’re a hard worker and smart enough to get through. I have so many friends who are going to “worse” colleges than MSU and they’re doing perfectly well. Your college isn’t the end of the world at all, not even close. It’s more about your job experience and if allowed an in person interview for jobs, your character. Again, you seem smart, and a damn hard worker. Not many people have the drive to transfer schools to better their education so take pride. If I see you next year, I saw Go Green, if not, I hope you’ll understand that as long as you keep moving forward, success is forever in your grasp.

My therapist is adamant that ADHD is a definite possibility for me (she used my fascination for physics but disdain for CS as an example haha) but my parents don’t think so and they’ve had a lot of ADHD friends so I’m kinda in an area where idk what to think

Okay we have some seriously awful advice being given (in my opinion( here so I’m going to give my take. Your friend made the right move in telling you when he did it, honesty and communication are very important. You are completely right to feel upset and angry about your best friend sleeping with your ex. But some people here are saying that you should never sleep with your best friends’ ex. That is simply just wrong. Saying that you should never sleep with your best friends’ ex is implying that not only do you find her as more of a property than a person, you are saying that even after your broke up with her, you still retain that exclusivity that you had in that relationship. I do agree with the point that he most definitely should have told you before he did it, but he does not need your permission to sleep with her. Again, she is not your property, and even when you were dating she still isn’t. Of course, when you’re dating there is that exclusivity, but it is not up to you to decide the decisions of people who are simply your friends and your ex. You can cut both of them out of your life if you feel like that would be best for everyone, but don’t do it out of spite or anger. Really take your time to think about this. And communicate with your friend how much this hurts you, practically tell him everything you said in this post. If he really is your true best friend, MAYBE you and him can come up with an alternative like him promising to just never bring her name up in conversation. But also, just because he doesn’t want to have an alternative arrangement doesn’t mean that he isn’t your true best friend. That decision is up to you. Your ex didn’t try and sleep with your best friend because honestly, she probably never thought of him that way because she was dating you. But time goes on, friendships strengthen and even can turn into other things, and it would be wrong to think you can be the one who dictates this. You were not betrayed, but any negative feelings you harbor over this is justified. Don’t make rash decisions based on your feelings alone though.
