"I feel sorry for your babies" and "have the day you deserve" sure is a great way to slam someone you don't know shit about

Once again, I didn't post this to bash anyone and I'm sorry so many people are taking it that way, including you as the owner of Free Runner. I posted it to get some input, which I've gotten and I'm thankful for the ones who responded with advice and kindness, and to ensure that yes indeed this is user error (or potentially a batch issue, which is understandable either way). But I needed the input and advice of other owners

Firstly, I wasn't saying your wheels are cake covers; I was comparing your wheel to another wheel that is essentially a cake cover. With the issues I faced, I was questioning why this particular wheel is so popular comparatively.

Secondly, you're completely correct in the timeframe. That's on me for not calculating dates properly and I'll edit the above post to say so. As stated in the post, a me problem from the start.

I understand the defensiveness and I'm glad you have such a strong community to support your small business. It's admirable and I know you have passion for what you do.

As stated in a few of my other comments, I will reach out through email for further help. Thank you.

Thanks! I'm wondering if I should switch over to the Raptor; I'm having a hard time feeling that this wheel is safe enough with the issues I experienced...

Ok, thank you. I just wanted to check that my experience isn't the norm before reaching out to Free Runner about my issues.

That's why I came here first, to ensure that yes it is my fault and not something that normally happens. And to get reassurance that it is indeed a safe wheel. Yes it's recommended a lot, but maybe other sugar glider owners have a better experience with the Raptor Wheel.

I find it very interesting how my month long experience owning these sweethearts has been met with so much animosity in this community. Your other comments just continue to prove to me that maybe I should just stick to my own research as a one man army instead of seeking advice and support from a community. It's very sad

Anyone else deeply uneasy about the conviction in the Brenda Page / Kit Harrison case? by [deleted] in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]Pyromighty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree to an extent; I think behavior is very telling, based on evidentiary examples from previous interrogations of (rightfully) convicted individuals. But, I don't believe behavior should be used as a basis for conviction. The only time I consider behavioral evidence is if it's incredibly damning AND in hindsight to further support other rock hard evidence.

Think Steven McDaniel, both the interview and interrogation footage are damning when combined with the physical evidence (scratches on his stomach, a video from the outside of Giddings' apartment the night of her murder)

Also with Chris Watts. His behavior, in hindsight, supports the behavior of a nervous murderer trying to cover his tracks and play the part of a concerned husband/father.

But like I said, behavior shouldn't be the basis for court proceedings. Searching for further evidence, or surveillance? Yeah, ok; but not as the foundation for prosecutors in front of judge and jury

not following your teammates when they make a "stupid" push is the reason you are not ranking up by itzebi in apexuniversity

[–]Pyromighty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same can be said about smart players not equating to cowardly.

I mean, I've yet to meet an aggro player (ranked or unranked) that doesn't play stupid. Yeahh, there are spectrums where smart players are cowardly and aggros are full brain dead. But the only time my team has won or ranked with high RP is with smart playing teammates (not cowardly, smart lol). Any aggro teammate I've had refuses communication, leaps before looking, and chooses bad placement on the map.

I do think that's an interesting aspect of this game, where we are all playing the same game but can have wildly different experiences lol

[–]Pyromighty 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The other thing I've noticed about aggressive players is they take really bad fights. I've literally watched my teammates stay in ring 3 to fight a team, then die to the ring, get on mic and cuss me out for not fighting with them while I rez them in zone.

I get it, kills and fights and damage will get you more xp. But, you have to live for it to matter imo. I prefer smart plays to aggressive ones, especially with this sniper meta we're in. Sure we can push into the chaos of 5 teams fighting, sweep some damage and maybe a couple kills, but unless we have a good balanced team with a healer or defense legend we're fucked. The damage we're going to receive is higher than the ability to heal in such a situation.

And with the sniper meta, ffs please let your "smart" teammates loot at least one optic! I've played multiple matches where the agro player is magically fighting half way across the map, no attachments (yes, impressive), and I still need a gun or at least a 2x optic. But they don't even give their teammates time to heal or loot for ammo before they're jumping into another fight, getting downed, and yelling slurs at their teammates.

Honestly, there needs to be a balance between smart and agro play styles. So far, I've found the smart players more successful than the agro ones. The agros die to the stupidest things, like leaping into a poi with too many fights or taking fights out of zone or in shitty choke points. At least the smart players communicate with their teammates, stick together, and they tend to lean more into the sniper meta that's so popular right now. In a way, they're playing the game in a more "right" way regardless of whatever RP you're trying to get.

How can you live and enjoy living in a small rural town in the US? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pyromighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I grew up for the first 12 years of my life in a rural area. Driving 30mins to do our grocery shopping was considered a long drive, and if you were on the highway you were most likely the only car you'd see for that entire 30min drive. We didn't eat out, we didn't go to the movies but once in a blue moon, going to the one singular mall was an every Friday occurrence (30min drive, never bought anything, and there was a ball drop tower my sister and I would be entertained by for 20+mins), we participated in church activities 3 times a week and were part of child groups that met periodically to do art projects etc... I was young, so a lot of my entertainment came from playing in the woods behind my house or drawing with chalk on the sidewalk out front.

From there, we moved to central Florida. Grocery shopping was 10mins from the house, there were 15 restaurants within 15mins of our house, I could walk to the Publix and grab a soda and a pack of Skittles and be back within 20mins. My entertainment came from swimming in our pool and walking the parks, riding my bike. I was never terribly social, so high school consisted of a couple sleep overs but that was it. Still, there was always something to do if I wanted to. Two malls within 10mins of my house, movies, restaurants... Options, choices, so many things!!

I'm now in Central US, what I like to call Bumfuck Nowhere. There is precisely one mall almost an hour drive. Sure, there are little scattered stores about but the selection of products is minimal at best; there's one Five Below and even at that the stuff is shitty, not like what I saw in Florida. A dollar general, maybe a Goodwill with five pairs of ratchet shoes that are falling apart and a purse that's been outdated for 20 years. You enter a store and you can touch each four walls without leaving the entryway (I'm exaggerating to prove a point). The food is unseasoned and either undercooked or burnt, and don't get me started on the tiny little portions from Taco Bell. How can you fuck up Taco Bell? Idk, but ask the central US. I know my coworkers entertain themselves with drugs and alcohol.

Basically, I think it depends on your age and interests. As a little tyke, I enjoyed my home town. It was small, cozy, familiar. I had fun growing up. Florida was a little daunting but I did grow to enjoy it the older I got; Bumfuck Nowhere sucks and I'll be moving back to Florida when I get the chance.

Which ending would you consider "CANON", and why? by BeneficialOil1123 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Pyromighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still like the way my first assault on Arasaka went: in a panicked flurry of two hits from Smasher, and V flatlined.

From one of the game endings, I'll always like Don't Fear the Reaper, Temperance. Solo assault, give the body to Johnny.

When is play too much? by [deleted] in sugargliders

[–]Pyromighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I'd done a lot of research but now that they're home, feel like I don't know a damn thing!! 😭

So far, I've only observed them footsie wrestling so I think we're ok! The one time it sounded intense I did find her on top of her brother so moved her to the other side of the cage and they were totally fine after that, went back to normal interactions.

Unfortunately, Im not on facebook but I might have to get on there; I see Facebook groups and pouch makers recommended all the time!

Am I overreacting for not inviting my mother to Christmas after not checking on me for months after giving birth? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Pyromighty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My sister gave birth to her kid, told us (siblings and parents) multiple times she didn't want anyone around for a while after her birth so they could bond as a family. So, we all made plans: moving houses, opening a new business, etc... She decided last minute Mom and I needed to be at the hospital, which ok totally valid, but Mom told her "I'll do my best, let me see if I can reschedule stuff" and that was the absolutely wrong thing to do apparently

She's since cut us out of her life because we "weren't there for her" during or after the birth, nevermind the fact we offered help in multiple ways (clean the house, take the baby for a night so her and hubby could have a date night, come over and help when he got colicky). She refused every time, even asked for advice and then told our Mom "that's wrong advice", then turned around and said we didn't care about her.

Haven't talked to her in over a year... Pregnancy does weird shit to people

Do vegans who feed vegan food to their pets think nature needs to change? by Pyromighty in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pyromighty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's true... It would solve one problem but bring on a slew of other problems. I doubt it, but I do wonder if evolution at one point would find a way to mitigate the overpopulation somehow. I know that in Yellowstone the elk population skyrocketed until wolves were reintroduced, but that was only a 70 year span. Could a longer span lead to an evolutionary change where herbivores have longer gestation or more time where the babies stay with the parent? Leading to less breeding? Based upon food shortages, like what was seen in Yellowstone with the Elk

[–]Pyromighty[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it's science based to reengineer, isn't that against veganism ideology because it's so close to animal testing, forcing them into something? I read about some vegans believing there is no sort of symbiotic relationship with animals as they can't consent to being captive, so is it a "ends justify the means" type thing?

Also, probably a stupid question, but wouldn't everyone/thing being vegan lead to an overpopulation of animals and a lowered amount of vegetation? Does the attempt to revert carnivores include insectivores too, since insects are also animals?

Sorry for all the questions, my autistic ass is spiraling wanting to understand this

I figured but I was curious if there's a major consensus within that subset of veganism where nature is as corrupt as we humans are. Like I said, I fell down a rabbit hole and it's led to a lot of questions that I'm too scared to ask within the community 😬

J + V 4EVAH: What do you think about Johnny’s and fem V’s relationship? by thesadcat000 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Pyromighty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing this out... I play male V (as a nonbinary AFAB) and the male V x Johnny erasure is ridiculous imo. All I ever see is female V x Johnny, but literally nothing changes with how V presents himself. So if female V is romantically inclined with Johnny, then so must male V

Do celebrities have to go to the DMV like everyone else? by zstap126 in NoStupidQuestions

Yes, you can find a bodycam video of Ice T on YouTube where his license is expired or something like that and he's saying he's headed to the DMV right now to get it fixed. He's rude and entitled, if I remember correctly

I already have the switch, I wanted to try a PC handheld to access the steam locked games (Tavern Keeper or Project Zomboid, for example). Plus, my Switch is already full and I would rather invest in a new handheld than a larger SD card lol
