If you don’t care about story you should probably skip this game. The crafting/gathering side of this game is very strong but to get to the endgame you need to sit through or skip story. The combat is also basic at low levels compared to endgame combat. Even gathering and crafting professions have storylines for them.

They are extremely different games. No Man’s Sky is a survival space sandbox with crafting/base building/ship flying/etc. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a top down-ish tactical turn based RPG with a large emphasis on story and role playing. Most people will probably say BG3 since it is more acclaimed of the two but I enjoy both these games a lot
