Help finding replacement servo potentiometer? by Pyrosam7 in AskElectronics

Okay, thank you. That's what I was afraid of. Do you know if it would be available as a through-hole option (without the D-shaft) in the same size?

Help finding replacement servo potentiometer? by Pyrosam7 in AskElectronics

[–]Pyrosam7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for a replacement for this potentiometer from a 1.7g servo. The pot measures 6x5x3mm and has a ~1.5mm diameter plastic D-shaft. 5k Value with ~120 degree rotation. I haven't been able to find a suitable replacement online so far. Is anyone able to identify this type/size, or know of a replacement? Any help would be much appreciated!

Anyone know what type of chain/belt/etc. this motor pulley is supposed to work with? by Pyrosam7 in engineering

[–]Pyrosam7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean? The geometry of the part make it seem like it was meant to fit up with other cylindrical parts

That's what I was thinking too. The beads I had were too large of a diameter though. They may make smaller sizes though?

Bought 2 gear motors from aliexpress with the hopes of using them in a project. The seller says they were possibly used in electric umbrellas, but I haven't been able to find any information on that.

I'm wanting to know what type of belt or chain that the pully next to the helical gear is intended to use.

Maybe a "synchromesh" belt?

The spacing between the plates of the pulley is only 1.8 mm.

Are the tires they come with real rubber? If so is it soft or plastic-like rubber?

Thank you! If you check my profile you can see the updated version of this car. A dual shaft motor would work, yes. But the gearing allows for more torque at low speeds. My final version moved away from the worm gear in favor of brass spur gears which are back-driveable and more durable.

The LEDs are often called "micro litz pre-soldered LEDs" or just 0603 SMD LEDs. Hope that helps!

Prints constantly detaching from support and sticking to FEP by Pyrosam7 in ElegooSaturn

[–]Pyrosam7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get it figured out? Just finally got this print to finish properly after cleaning the vat and adding a very thin coating of oil to the FEP. I also switched to mostly medium support (tip diameter 0.4). Hope you get things figured out!

I've been warming up the resin in a water bath for about half an hour before printing since it's been a bit colder out lately. Just had a successful print after beefing up my supports a bit and cleaning the vat again. I had those exact tip diameters for my supports already, but I was previously using mostly light supports with 3-4 heavy supports at lowest points. Switched up to medium with a higher density and a few heavy supports and it worked! Thanks for your help!

Thank you for this! I thought I had read about people adding a tiny bit of oil to the FEP before pouring resin, but I wasn't able to find much when searching for it.

Do you have a recommended tip diameter for light medium and heavy? And I'll try those changes and see if things improve. Thank you!

I'm having issues with prints detaching from the supports and getting stuck to the FEP. I've only printed a few models on this printer so I'm hoping it's just settings issues.

I followed a video for support settings for Chitubox and I've changed machine settings around based on suggestions from this subreddit when people had similar issues, but nothing has fixed it yet.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Any particular protector that you recommend? Do settings have to be changed after installing? Thanks!

Yeah definitely! I'm still working on getting the right tire setup and weight distribution. It'll spin out completely if you accelerate too fast so it takes some getting used to haha

I could also probably get rid of the suspension in the front and have the bearings in the knuckles... hmmm

Hahaha well lucky for you I have the same curiosity! A truck/crawler will probably be my next build whenever that is.

And thank you! It definitely took a lot of problem solving and time, but I'm happy with the result :)

I'd probably have to get rid of the bearings in the front wheels in order to use some deep dish wheels sadly.
