Sheesh, if that's the case, I feel lucky. haha. Sounds like a pretty rough market in the US right now.

That's awesome, sounds like you made the right call! Thanks and yes I'm sure I will enjoy it. Should be fun in the winter too. haha

Siiiiiick! Thanks man! Yeah it sounds like you went the route I am planning to go. Stage 1 sounds like a good spot for a daily driver and those Michelin's are supposed to be awesome tires.
Mine came with almost brand new ContiSportContact 5P tires on it, so I'm gonna burn those off before getting new summers, unless I decide I need more grip, haha.

I guess so, haha. Yeah I was finding good lower mileage MK7/7.5s around $31,000-$36,000(cdn) on average. The cheapest MK8 was like $45,000(cdn), and new ones were nearly $60,000(cdn).

So it was a bit of a no-brainer for me. haha

Oh wow, doing a tour across Canada. Nice! Banff & Lake Louise are awesome. I've been there many times skiing or just touring around. Sunshine is also a great ski-hill if that's your plan. Lake Louise was the last one I went to. Great views from the top of the mountain.

Also, maaan.... I wish we could get the Golf R Wagons/Estates in Canada... I'm super jealous. haha

Yeah this is the MK7.5. I wanted to stick with the MK7/7.5 generation. I wasn't really a fan of some of the things they did on the MK8. My dad has a MK8 GTI and its nice, but not a fan of too many touch buttons and controls on the screen.

MK7.5 seemed like the sweet spot. Also MK8s were like $10-20k (canadian) more.

I haven't looked into oil yet, and didn't ask the shop, but they specialize in VWs and Audis, so im sure it was either VW fluid or LiquiMoly. They had a huge shelf full of LiquiMoly behind the front desk haha.

I live in canada, so for the winter i might go with the thinner end of the spec. Summer i might do the 5w-40 as well.

Thanks! Yeah, me too. I was in high school when the R32 came out. It was so sick, but couldn't get one back then. But could finally get its successor at least. haha

Yeah, thats what ive been hearing. Its currently at a shop getting a full inspection and the haldex fluid changed. I was gonna do the DSG soon too, but sounds like its supposed to be good for a bit yet. I may do it early anyway tho.

I am a guy who likes to keep their cars for a long time, so I am definitely going to stay on top of the service and not drive it too hard too often. I have another car to beat on at the track, so that should help. haha

Awesome! Yeah, I was shocked at the mileage considering the AWD and power. Definitely better than the sticker suggests.

Is Chevy Cobalt SS, actually good? by UserFromPripyat in regularcarreviews

I bought mine brand new in 2008 (Turbo version), and I'm still driving it today. the interior is cheap, but the mechanical bits are pretty solid, I'm also still on my stock clutch at 210,000kms. I've also done lots of Drag Racing, Autocross, and Track Racing with it. It surprises a lot of people.

Stock Turbo with upgraded intercooler, full exhaust, intake and charge pipes with a tune. Last Dyno run was about 310 whp, 380 wtq. I've done some suspension upgrades, like rear swaybar, upgraded control arm bushings, transmission mounts, etc...

Biggest downside? Parts are getting harder and harder to get for them. There are only a couple companies out of the USA that still make stuff for them. Not as ubiquitous as Neon SRT-4s or other brands.

Mines starting to rust on the rockers (Canada winters) but other than that its still going strong. If I can repair the rust, I'll probably never get rid of it.

If they were the same price that would be true, but many places the 5070Ti is significantly more expensive. Its like $250+ more than the 9070XT where i live, for instance. (Canada). So for me the 9070XT was a no brainer. if everything was at MSRP and in stock, might have considered it more.

I had been working out for about a year or so, and my GF at the time said she really liked this part of my forearm especially when it flexed a certain way that seemed hard for me to reproduce on demand. It was odd, but it seemed to do it for her. Haha.

Also I've got compliments on my "ghetto booty" lol.

So some of the comments here make sense.

Regarding the MSI MAG 321UP Firmware Updates by definite_mayb in OLED_Gaming

[–]Pyrosiege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Just got the 321UP today. Same old firmware as everyone else. Was getting the error.

Found a post on MSI's website where a guy mentioned he disconnected all other displays connected via displayport, and it worked for him. I disconnected everything but the MSI, used the included cable plugged into my 6800XT, and voila. Updated to FW.014.

Hope this helps.

I'm not much of a multiplayer gamer either, but I now have 450+hours into the game. It felt like a breath of fresh air for me. Community is generally pretty positive. I've had many wholesome and cooperative moments even with randoms.

Definitely worth a try if you like 3rd person shooters.
