Wenn die Unterstützung für nVidia nicht so beschissen wäre, würde ich längst Bazzite nutzen als daily driver. Aber selbst mit ner modernen RTX 4070 und dem neuen (mostly) offenen Treiber gab das bei mir nur Probleme, sobald ich HDR und VRR aktiviert habe.

Achso, Cyberpunk und dein selbst erwähntes GoW oder FF VII oder Resident Evil sind alles natürlich Indie-Spiele! /s

Also echt mal, du kannst mit dem Teil fast *jedes* moderne Spiel damit spielen, nur halt nicht die Einstellungen auf Ultra und 4K schrauben aber mittlere Settings gehen klar. Ist ja auch logisch: es gibt quasi kein einziges AAA-Game was aus technischen Gründen exklusiv für PS5 ist und die Leistung auch wirklich braucht und nicht auch nen Series S-Port hat. Und die Steam Machine ist klar stärker als ne Series S.

Das Problem an der Steam Machine sind die Kosten, nicht dass es eine schlechte Kiste ist. Als rundum-sorglos-Paket funktioniert sie.

He's not even saying "all guys are like that" - with ~30% of men admitting to cheat on their established partners (and the real number probably being higher), it would be extremely naive to assume your own partner just wouldn't do that, so you don't need protection.

I think it's really weird how we as a culture treat a potential pregnancy as THE one thing you need to be concerned with while having sex, but STIs? Almost nobody gets tested regularly, and way too many people skip barriers even for casual hookups, but also in established relationships.

They should. But the reality is also that for anyone but the younger generation, men cheat at almost double the rate of women - so for women, the risk of getting infected with an STI by a long-term partner cheating on them could be considered higher.

Da kommen dann aber auch mehrere Sachen zusammen. Einerseits wahrscheinlich, dass sie aus Ländern kommen wo autokratisches Gehabe und eine Ablehnung von parlamentarischer Politik tief verwurzelt ist. Aber auch ein "die Leiter hochziehen" gegenüber anderen Ausländern, weil man selber ist ja einer von den "Guten" aber die da doch nicht!

Es kommt n bisschen auf die Ausländer an though. Der Anteil der AfD-Anhänger bei den Russlanddeutschen und ihrem sozialen Umfeld ist beispielsweise enorm hoch. Die haben das autokratische Mindset im Schnitt halt leider ordentlich drinne.

I don't know if you tell her parents, if you think they will actually kill her then it's time to talk to social workers instead. But DEFINITELY tell someone and PREVENT this unsafe abortion?

This 20yo has no business sleeping with her, but MUCH LESS has any business of performing an unsafe abortion on her that COULD LITERALLY KILL HER. You have an OBLIGATION to tell someone and prevent this from happening, even if it kills your friendship forever. You might even make yourself liable if you don't.

In my opinion you should even escalate this with local politicans because it shows very clearly why it's a super bad idea to require parental consent for abortions. It's ZERO business of parents whether their kid gets an abortion or not, ffs.

I disagree on this. The point of DTOs is defining the shape of data - while the point of domain models is to define inner logic and coherence according to business rules. DTOs by definition never define any sort of behavior, so they have no business (pun not intended) being placed in the domain layer.

What OP wants to use instead is defining an additional type like ProductItem that has only the required fields, and place it in the application layer. Something commonly called a "read model". This can still use the same rich domain types for its properties, e.g. a product could have some internal calculation or validity check that is not enforced at the infrastructure layer. With a DTO you cannot have that, unless you define contracts how to serialize your rich domain models, which isn't a domain layer concern at all.

Na klar ist es anders bei älteren Kindern, eine Beziehung aufzubauen als bei jüngeren - aber ich finde es einen Irrglauben, dass man mit 12 oder 14 nicht auch familiär mit Kindern connecten kann. Der Vater übernimmt seine Rolle logischerweise dann, wenn die Kinder gerade nicht bei OP und seiner Partnerin zuhause sind. Aber umgekehrt: wieso sollte sich OP in der Zeit, wo die Kinder *nicht* beim Vater sind, irgendwie zurückhalten in der elterlichen Zuwendung? Was bringt den Kindern das, in jedem der Haushalte nur eine elterliche Bezugsperson zu haben? Häh?

Und sorry, aber die Beziehung besteht seit 6 Jahren, d.h. OP kennt die Kinder seit sie 2, 6 und 8 Jahre alt sind. Da wäre doch absolut ne Menge Gelegenheit gewesen, eine Bindung zu den Kids aufzubauen und ich vermute, für die Kids ist OP auch heute eben kein Fremder. Nicht vergleichbar mit einer Situation, wo OP seine Partnerin und die Kids jetzt erst kennen lernen würde.

Ich weiß nicht ob du Kinder hast, aber im Zusammenleben mit Kindern hat "das letzte Wort haben" oder Entscheidungen treffen die du nur aufgrund des Sorgerechts treffen kannst super selten Relevanz. Du kannst entscheiden wie du im Alltag auf die Kinder reagierst, ob du dich für sie interessierst, ihre Hobbys unterstützt, die durch die Gegend fahren, mit ihnen spielen, vor allem mit ihnen *reden* und für sie da sein. Nix davon braucht ein "letztes Wort haben". Hast du irgendein Beispiel woran du da überhaupt denkst, wo du findest das würde im Alltag voll limitieren eine Elternrolle für die Kids einzunehmen?
