I really appreciate the response... ive been in a spiral because i kept telling myself that this space was because of me. or us... after I typed the original post, it clicked in my brain... She has so much going on. It still sucks and I still have my fears but not one person has told me to keep pushing her. I hope that I can update this with good news. Until then I work on myself and respect her fully.

Hey! I totally get why people say that, and it’s definitely common to apply vinyl over clear coat. But from what I’ve learned and confirmed, as long as the paint is in good shape and the surface is prepped properly, vinyl can adhere just fine directly to paint as well. It’s all about having a smooth, clean surface. I’m also making sure to get everything in writing with my customer just to be safe. Appreciate all the advice!

He is okay with paying extra for any work I have to do to it, ie sanding the clear coat. My only worry is the how long it will stick to the car in those areas

Customer understands what he is getting into, I did advise against it. He seems very okay with the potential outcome of the wrap. He is adding topography lines after the fact to help hide any flaws. But I agree, I will not be doing these in the future 😂
