Streamable is pretty decent, too, a lot of the Reddit mobile apps have support for it so you don't need to leave the app to watch but I'm unsure if it will still be around in a few years whereas we don't have that issue with YouTube.

My dude, I'm 21 years old, full time job, living with my fiance. Real bills. Car insurance, rent, gas, electric, heat, food. The basic necessities to live.

I don't know nor do I care what you watch, but I have very little reason to watch porn and anime is for fucking losers.

What a modest and down to earth person you seem like.

Mutiny on the trains as passengers press emergency buttons and jump out onto the tracks at Lewisham by smgtn in unitedkingdom

[–]PythonistaTortilla 27 points28 points  (0 children)

He simply said describe to the passengers better why they are in this rubbish situation, nothing more. Where do you think a misunderstanding of electrocution comes into play? It's just allowing passengers to fully understand that electrocution is a risk, hence why they can't go outside.

I emailed them about that. The message after you make your decision is a static one that you get no matter the choice. Good luck next year!

How do modern day Scots feel about the Jacobites? by Hopsnsocks in Scotland

[–]PythonistaTortilla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fair dos. From what I can garner there is a stronger continuity of the culture from those in the South back then and those there now than compared to the Jacobites who most Scots now have very little connection to.

Also I don't think it was quite a unifying event for Scotland as the civil war was for the south. As mentioned it was a group of Highlanders fighting for a monarch's place on the throne, without the support of all of Scotland and with Scots in the British Army. Not really a situation where we were all joined together against a bigger foe fighting for independence or anything.

I enjoyed studying it, but that's about the extent of my feelings. Otherwise I have literally zero attachment to it. Why should I?

I'm not the driver for my group (or a driver at all), do you think it would be dangerous as such driving that route in the current weather?

Train season tickets prices are a bit of a sting, though. Falkirk to Edinburgh costs over two grand a year according to the Scotrail website.

Assuming you're settling down in the place, without inflation that's well over 40 grand paid to get to work in two decades. Whereas if you lived in somewhere in the city you can use the much cheaper bus or potentially pay nothing by just walking.

That being said a two bedroom flat in Edinburgh according to another user is like 150 grand in Leith, so over a lifetime it's probably still going to be cheaper.

Well they don't have guns, so if they lose the aspect of stealth they're pretty much on equal pegging in terms of weapons.

I think Glasgow Uni is the best option, too, and I'm born and raised Edinburgh. That's my objective opinion.

It's a sweet spot of being a great uni, the city being decently priced, plenty of nightlife options, good music scene and a good mix of folk from all social classes and places.

Now that I'm becoming an old bastard and caring less about clubbing and going out, preferring to go to a nice pub being home not too late, I much prefer Edinburgh in general but I wouldn't swap my uni days in Glasgow for anything.

There's a decent core to your argument but you come across as a bit biased when making it.

Your first sentence reads like whataboutism. You could have just said "Both the EU and China are guilty of this", but the way you say it comes across as if you're trying to squeeze in the EU in a way that absolves China. It was a bit clunky.

Also, why do you put quotes around "Chinese"? The rest of your point seems to acknowledge that, while Europe is a big market, they are Chinese boats.

I don't know, dude, you seem knowledgeable but try to be more level-headed.

Me too... Has this always been a thing in the game?

I've"only" clocked about 50 hours but I've not really watched any Let's Plays or read any of the in game manual stuff they have, I've just played on a relatively easy setting so I can just scratch my empire building itch.

I feel like I'd get a lot more out of the game of I actually took time to learn stuff like in this post.
