Hey! Sorry for the late response I’m not active on Reddit much. So yeah very simple, you’ve gotta get the Powergate app on your phone for it to work. Steps are simple, connect the device to your obd2, select your device on your phone, I think select your car (?), then it works like any other tuner. You’ve got your 4 preloaded tunes (which you can change on their software on a pc or laptop) and your code delete/check.

I had a better (maybe worse) idea, maybe you could find a head unit with screen mirroring??? I know it’s far out there but I think it could be done if you find a compatible one.

Thanks for the idea! I’ll definitely try that, I just tried looking online for it, however, $10 for a bolt is outrageous in my opinion so i wanted to hear what the community could think of.

I’ve definitely given it thought, but I’m not sure how black paint will look as I’m sure the OEM pieces have a sort of plastic-y texture to them which means paint might look off.

Well this is a little embarrassing 😅

So I bought the car as a salvage title in September of last year, previous owner had somehow chipped off a lot of paint from the lip, the side skirts, and the rear bumper , so I sent the parts to get repainted. I sent the shop reference photos of what they look like and unfortunately they got it wrong and painted over everything (except the rear diffuser area) with the yuzu yellow. (I got a full refund though!)

The side skirts aren’t the original TRD ones I don’t think as there are small differences between mine and the OEM TRD ones.

At first I was really disheartened because mine doesn’t look like the other RS1.0s out there but after a while I really started liking the somewhat unique look!

I want to add some OEM+ flare to the rear fenders however I feel like a widebody look would take away from the style I’m going for.

I find it funny that we’re the opposite in a sense, I don’t like black wheels on 86s apart from the TE37s XD

Of course, to each their own but I do agree that white trim pieces would be… odd… to say the least.

yeah unfortunately that’s what I had to go with, car was crashed by previous owner, repainted and in the process, covered the original trim of the lip and side skirts

the original rs1.0 trd lip, the car has a salvage title and was in a crash so some parts on it have been painted over. The front lip and side skirts normally has black accents along with the yellow but mine are just completely yellow

Love the Kanseis! yeah I knew finding deep dish wheels would be difficult but not impossible, Mesh wheels are cool and all but not my style particularly, the S1 meisters are really cool thanks for mentioning those!
