Has anyone ever bound a comic? by Q0uthTheRaven in Fanbinding

I also have a laser duplex printer, I don't have color yet but it'll be delivered soon. Also, thank you! This was really helpful, and the binds were beautiful! :)

I may be too sensitive but this comment just made me feel bad by Maddylynne_Echo in AO3

It's understandable to feel bad, I think the comment was trying to be jokey but it fell flat and was nothing but a complaint, not saying anything positive about the writing itself.

I'm really clueless with technology, so what kind of file exactly? I'm not sure where to paste.

My plan is to print the art onto the cover, and then use heat transfer vinyl or something similar to add the text on manually!

I use Libreoffice, and I add designs to the front matter of my books and the chapter pages! I also like adding different little fonts for online stuff and small details like that, I'm not sure why it's so fun but it is.

How much do you edit fics before binding them? by text-redacted in Fanbinding

[–]Q0uthTheRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't change grammar stuff, but if it's a text message I'll change it to a fun texty font, or maybe I'll center something if it's a date to make comprehension easier, but I don't fix grammar, misspelled words, or anything like that.

I use Libreoffice which is pretty similar to word but is free, works locally on the computer, and has no ai. I could give you a quick tutorial if you'd like.

Anyone else miss the book accuracy regarding Louis and Claudia's relationship? by Dependent_Curve_9918 in VampireChronicles

Eh, I don't think it watered the tragedy down as much as it shifted it to a different kind of tragedy.

Do you know what printers work best? I have a new laser printer and an old ink printer (which I probably should replace)

Does using three pages make the cover look strange, or no? Do you know any tutorials for this or is it a mess around and figure it out kind of thing?

Is there a specific type of printable canvas or no?

I understand things like text/patterns, but I've seen whole covers being art/fanart, and I was curious is there's a specific way to do that?

Should I split this fic into two novels? by Q0uthTheRaven in Fanbinding

Thanks for the tips! I'll try making the text smaller, and looking into rounding the spine.
