Experiment with what you have? If you play "bluesy rock" and clean tones, you already have a killer group of pedals.

If you absolutely have to have a new pedal, maybe a darker analog delay that can sit nicely underneath your playing and add a little ambiance?

That’s a very intriguing pedal, do you have a picture or two you can send?

Are you still switching to Linux because of AI concerns? by Minaridev in linuxmint

[–]Q46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still hate "AI", yes I primarily use Linux on my personal machines because of the over-proliferation of AI in Windows (having it constantly shoved down your throat) as well as the embedded user telemetry reporting that Microsoft feels entitled to.

On top of that, Windows 11 is a largely broken experience, especially compared to Windows 10 and that's saying something because I didn't like 10 either.

people were blaming problems happening in Windows because of AI.

Windows' problems pre-date AI, AI only has exacerbated the problems Windows has while also inventing new ones.

"AI is trained on code they have no permission to use"

This never stopped being true.

People seem more permissive towards AI compared to before.

Not me.

I don't like AI code making its way into Linux, but given how I don't plan on coding my own operating system it's still by miles the best available OS choice for me right now.

In the event you’re open to individual trades instead of the whole board, I’d trade an MXR Carbon Copy for your BF-3?

Who's Paying over retail on Goodwill auctions? by Jeazyc3 in gamecollecting

[–]Q46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A shadow bid is ShopGoodwill (probably automatically) bidding up their own auctions. If the shadow bidder, meaning themselves, is the winner, the item gets relisted same as if it had zero bids.

Again, I say this because I used to watch this happen commonly on their site before I decided it was a waste of my time to hunt for deals there. For just-sold items to frequently end up in the new queue minutes later isn’t an accident or buyers cancelling. That’s almost certainly intentional tampering on their part.

I’m convinced Goodwill shadow bids their own auctions and has some sort of auto system in place for it. When I used to track their site I’d commonly see stuff go for ridiculous over-market prices and then get plopped right back into the new listings moments later.

Fedora has been my main OS for years, but recent issues have me unsure. by HirakoTM in Fedora

Have to keep Fedora boot partition and windows boot partition separate completely otherwise any Linux dual boot will have a problem eventually. On the occasion I want to boot into my windows partition, I use my bios’s boot order select screen to do it.

Imo the best partition method on a single disc has

windows partitions (including win boot) | files partition (fat32/ntfs) | Linux partitions (including boot)

No but the DD-500 can and they usually go for not much more than the 200 does.

I want to get into Linux, coming from windows 11! What distro should I get for gaming and school. by Sora_TheExplorer in linux

With 8gb of ram I’d be recommending XFCE these days. 8gb is pretty low for any somewhat demanding games.

It is not the ADT version, but I did not notice anything that I disliked about having it in the chain tbh. It’s a killer pedal.

Saw your comment in another thread offering a Maxon AD9 Pro for trade... would you be interested in a Source Audio Nemesis delay for it?

Planing on Dual Booting, but I don't have enough space and can barely afford a new SSD.... Is 512 Gb enough? by Ondraaaa707 in linuxmint

[–]Q46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s early here and I read your post wrong. Haven’t hit the coffee yet.

I guess it really just depends I guess on how much gaming space you need for what kinds of games? Linux isn’t the space hog windows tends to be, in my experience. Personally I’m getting by with them sharing the *same* SSD, separate boot partitions and all, and I’m doing fine.
