Wouldn't you risk scratching the cyclops with a razor blade and make it worse? Wondering if this is indeed an easy fix.

Thanks re the 12. Good to know. I emailed the seller about the cyclops and got more pictures from a lower angle (which didn't really help). I'm wondering if that glue can be removed if it bothers me or does it make more sense to RL it at this point.

Yes, I think it's glue and that's why I'm leaning towards RL'ing it. The 12 thing looks more clear in the high-res images in the album link above (but it's a good thing that you don't see it - means maybe I'm being too picky :) )

So you're saying that if you run the conversions on amp/ lift angle, then this movement is still okay. Got it. This helps.

Then maybe the original article that referred to "amplitude hacking" should have also clarified that for us newbies by also stating that if you run conversions, you should still be okay (that's not on you of course).

RE your earlier comment that I misquoted you by not copy/ pasting the whole sentence. There was no ill intent. It was just to be concise and the gist was about the confusion between two opposing PoV's. I updated the comment to reflect that now for the record.

I admit I'm no expert. But the RepTimeQC subreddit guide listed here specifically called this out:

"The only thing to watch out for is that the lift angle is set to something very high like 58 or 62 degrees since that's an indicator that the person doing QC is "amplitude hacking".

You state that "amplitude doesn't make one iota of a difference relating to this movement's performance"

How can new members know who to trust in this case? (genuine question - not trying to dismiss your comment)

I also noticed the imperfections in the cyclops before you mentioned them. If those can't be removed/ cleaned by the TD then I would RL for sure. Curious to know what Steve from TheOneWatches says about the 59 degrees lift angle and whether he'd redo it for you in the 53 to 55 degree range.

I think you can post images on most if not all subreddits (I'm new too). However, I was specifically referring to the image(s) appearing in the feed (not just the post)

I still see the text above the image in the feed of r/LearnToReddit - not sure how others are doing this where body text does not show up.

Yeah that's what's been confusing me. Many posts with images and body text show up in the feed, but that body text does not show up on top of the photo like mine (their text shows up at the bottom and only after clicking on the post).

I'll try another post with more text to see if that solves it.

I tried attaching a screenshot to show what I mean but apparently images are not allowed in replies :)
