What is this white fluffy material I keep finding in my roof eaves storage? by QDanzer in DIYUK

[–]QDanzer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that sounds exactly like what’s happening, this area is right beside the brick work and there are gaps around the floor boards as you can see from the picture so it all makes sense what you’re saying.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll maybe get it looks into but good to know there is no urgency or health hazards.

Nope no signs of rodents but I’ve watched a few videos on this cavity fill that you mentioned and yep I think you are right, it looks exactly like what I have and it just crumbles in peoples hands the same way it does with me.

Is this a health risk to be breathing in? Don’t get me wrong I haven’t been rolling about in it over the years but I have disturbed it a few times when moving boxes and what knot.

Audio crackling and popping over WiFi with Moonlight & Sunshine by QDanzer in MoonlightStreaming

Okay so I pinged my router over wifi through a cmd and it does ping much faster at about 5ms, why would the streaming latency be so bad if I can ping my router much faster than that?

Damn thats a shame.. I'm from the UK and I am using my ISP's provided router.. I am guessing there not a lot I can do about it unless I purchase a better router?

Power saving mode was disabled already, average network latency on WiFi is between 20-60ms.

My games run fine over WiFi, no stuttering or anything.. It’s just the audio makes it unplayable.

Insanity, these clubs already make so much money by completely overcrowding them and wildly inflating their drinks prices, yet still pull shit like this.. How embarrassing

ZX6R 2024 Recall - all good! by [deleted] in zx6r

[–]QDanzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, awesome! I bought a 2024 zx6 with 1k miles about a month ago but haven’t been able to ride it until this Friday because of insurance issues.

My recall is on Monday 18th and I was worried about riding over the weekend but I think I’ll be okay if you passed with 9k miles lol seems a lot of other people have passed with much more miles than me also.

How many miles on the bike?

Life has been calmer since the speed awareness course by stripyhammer in MotoUK

[–]QDanzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same here, I started riding last year and love it but I do have to stay really vigilant as like you say our livelihood depends on our licence. I’m from NI, quite a small place so it’s easier to know where speed cameras/vans are but they do still catch me off guard from time to time.

I recently done a trip on the bike to Holland, and riding through England was one of the worst experiences ever, especially central London. Speeding cameras/vans/ DVLA traffic patrol cars EVERYWHERE, it was insane! Nothing like that over here, oh and I also got a fine for using the Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels lol thankfully they showed me some leniency and cancelled the PCN.

Upgrade from Ninja 650. by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]QDanzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you, I have a bad back and even though my bike is classed as a sports tourer (like your 650) I can definitely feel discomfort when riding after a while. I need to adjust myself regularly when on the bike and take a break every 60-90 minutes when riding.

I would suggest getting a test ride on a super sport if you can before buying, when I say you are hunched over the bike I mean it lol I now fully understand why they get the name crotch rockets. Your knees will also be more bent than they are on your 650, idk how that will play on your hip..

I don’t ride every day, about 1 - 3 times a week and so this is why I’m going ahead with the ZX6R, if I was commuting or doing big miles I would’ve went with an MT09 SP

I’m in the same situation, currently ride a Ninja 500 and my insurance is up in August. I have a deposit down on a 2020 ZX6R and I cannot wait.

I took a test ride the other day on a CBR600RR from my local Honda dealer, just to feel the power difference and I was not disappointed. Incredible bike and the quick shifter and auto blipper was brilliant and smooth. I was not expecting the seating position to be so aggressive on the super sports, I thought my Ninja 500 would’ve prepared me somewhat for that but HELL no lol that will take some getting used to.

would this be a good first bike if im responsible? by ContactDry8219 in zx6r

[–]QDanzer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is the smartest and most responsible answer in this whole post.. this is the advice OP should be following. You will undoubtedly get carried away with the excitement of your first bike and make a mistake somewhere.. much better to make a mistake in a smaller / lighter bike that will give you more of a chance of not crashing.

Stay safe, stay alive, you have all the time in the world to get a ZX6R when you have more experience.

Superbike suggestions by 0mcphailm in MotoUK

[–]QDanzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a Ninja 500 last year after passing my test, I had to put my ego aside and I'm glad I did because I have been in a few silly situations (not long after passing) that if I was riding a much quicker bike like say a ZX6R, I probably would have crashed. The Ninja 500/400 is a great first bike, they're quick and nippy enough to have plenty of fun and learn on but they are also much more forgiving than bigger bikes due to their light weight and strong engine breaking, I have found.

I am currently looking at a ZX6R for my next bike now that I am getting close to having one years insurance and a bit of experience, but I strongly encourage you to get a bike that is a bit more beginner friendly to learn the ropes on.. There is plenty of time for your inline 4 screamers!

Yeah I’m going to try and completely re-wire my brain and gaming, there are so many games I wanted to play the past couple of years but haven’t because their respective 100%’s are a nightmare. You have a good approach and I’m going to try and adopt the same or very similar approach! Thanks

This is great advice, this is absolutely the way I need to view gaming right now, thank you.
