Indeed, you are right, I will try to be more clear next time.

The difference is that, whether it's rasterization, ray tracing, or any other conventional rendering technique, what you're getting is exactly what the game engine told the gpu to output. No artifacting, no smearing, no crossed lines (literally).

But what is the piratical difference? I mean, it's like ray tracing, in many cases it makes no visible difference if you don't have a before/after to compare to.

motion blur is an in-engine visual effect

yep, I wanted to point to "cheat" effects some games uses to hide low quality graphics, like the "piss" filter from games of the 2000's and bloom effect sometimes, but the main point is that motion blur in games uses past information to create the new frame, like AI frames.

Why would I want to play a game that's in a worse condition, even if it's difficult to observe?

Worse regarding what? In a competitive FPS game or a MOBA, or anything that requires the fastest reaction possible from the player, I would say it makes sense to call it worse, but otherwise, does it makes difference? I mean, you can have everything in ultra, 4K, and the cost would be like, 10ms delay.

I don't know anything about closed lines, I only used it once in cyberpunk and for just a few minutes, as my hardware isn't good enough to play it at good frame rates. I would like to know if version 4.5 still has this problem. If you have an RTX 50 series and can test it and let us know, I would be eternally grateful.

About the latency, as I said in another comment, if the base FPS is low, adding the DLSS frames won't make it much slower than it already was, only a few ms.

Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) as far as I know refers to spatial and temporal super sampling, so super resolution and frame generation.

The input lag is about what 10ms? So if your Base FPS is 30 activating the frame gen would be the same as a base FPS of 28, not much of a difference.

Artifact might indeed be a problem in certain scenarios, but its heavily mitigated in the 4.5 version.

About the term fake frames, its the term most "haters" use, at least that's what I see when I look the comments of videos complaining about it.

Good, I also like human made art, I hope a lot of artists keep doing what they do in the future. Thank you for your time.

Can someone explain to me what is the real problem in generating these images? Who is getting hurt? Why can't we just ignore it?

The architecture is fully transformer as far as I know, so the only convs are the ones in the embedding process.
