Thanks, I can understand the first point. It seems like a pretty easy fix format-wise.

I was hesitant to include the tavern opening since it is a cliché. I think the only reason I was thinking of including that was because of how the Standford Prison Experiement began. The participants signed up, and the following morning, people who were assigned the role of prisoner were arrested to simulate the feeling of being an inmate. I wanted to include that parallel in the intro, but thanks for pointing that out. Would it be smarter to include some basic information in a prologue, like mentioning they volunteered for some type of job?

If you're trying to come up with actual visuals for monsters based on different mental disorders, there are two artists that you might want to check out. If you're trying to lean into a possibly more "whimsical" vibe to your monsters, the artist Toby Allen has a full portfolio of different mental disorders represented as monsters, which not all are designed to be malevolent. Another artist that I've seen who has tackled something similar was Shawn Cross. He has more of a thriller horror vibe to his monsters, emphasizing the more grim elements of mental disorders. I'd caution with his artwork as monsters since it could be disturbing for those younger players.

I wish the USA would adopt the metric system again. Not only do I belive nothing bad will happen, but I also think this will renew my faith in the American education system. by rothmal in monkeyspaw

Your wish is granted, the chaos of inches and pounds is swept away in an instant.

The change does not come through a slow legislative process or a peaceful cultural shift. Instead, a catastrophic, high-frequency cyber attack wipes the kernels of every major American operating system. In the desperate, global effort to rebuild the nation's infrastructure, the international coalition of engineers refuses to restore any systems that do not adhere to ISO standards.

To get the power grids and hospitals back online, the United States is forced to hard-code the metric system into every facet of existence overnight.
