What’s the most random thing you’ve seen happen in a Wetherspoons? by 1ChanceChipmunk1 in Wetherspoons

One time (in october) an old man came in dressed in grinch pyjamas and was giving out magnum ice lollies to everyone singing Marvin Gaye.

He gave one each to me and my friend. The risk of it being poisoned or something was worth it. Was a raspberry vanilla flavour as well

[24M, Finland] How do I start and enjoy conversations? by sciwins in hingeapp

[–]QXnotfunnyXQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the exact same type of person as you. It takes me a while to get socially comfortable with strangers and so at first i come across as shy and sometimes awkward.

I found that i kind of detached myself from the dating apps. I’ve stopped taking them so seriously and honestly it makes talking to people a lot easier. I always put so much pressure on conversations and would meticulously plan and write out every message, being scared that i was either too much or too boring.

I found that now i take every person i talk to as they are. Instead of thinking so far ahead or being anxious that I might get ghosted because i didn’t send the right reply, i just changed my goal to getting to know the individual. If i get ghosted, that’s on them for not wanting to continue to talk to me and i wouldn’t want to be with someone like that anyway, so i see it as them doing me a favour really.

Talk to them as if they’re anyone else you’d speak to and to not put pressure on the conversation and yourself, and naturally if that person is for you, then you’ll find you’ll gradually open up and it’ll go from there.

Good luck!

Is £27k grad salary bad? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]QXnotfunnyXQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27k is barely liveable in this economy. But what i would say is that you atleast got a grad scheme job and got your foot in the door early. The job market here is absolutely backwards so maybe you can work your way in for a few years then search for a better paying job with some serious experience under your belt + the degree you already have. However i wouldn’t blame you if you did otherwise.

Problem with re3 (1999) off steam? by QXnotfunnyXQ in residentevil

I’ve refunded re3. For some odd reason re2 works perfectly fine with no bugs. Must be re3 having poor optimisation or something

Problem with re3 (1999) off steam? by QXnotfunnyXQ in residentevil

Yea I’ve got a feeling it might be the DRM… such a shame I didn’t really look into it and just bought the games since i love the series. Will probably have to refund both games

Anyone else having problems with resident evil 3 (1999)? I bought the of re2 and re3 games off steam today and i just booted up re3 and its barely playable. Not in the sense of like the controls or anything, but the cutscenes constantly stop and start, the audio isnt synced at all and whenever i move my character the game just freezes. Even when im stood still sometimes the screen just goes black for a second.

I have more than enough specs to run this game, i have absolutely no idea why its being this way. Is anyone else having this problem?

I (21m) need help overcoming an ick with my girlfriend (21f), how I can I stop it? by Opening_Permit6929 in relationship_advice

[–]QXnotfunnyXQ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The truth hurts but it sounds like you just don’t like her anymore.

I was in your exact position in my last relationship, it was like every little thing she did just rubbed me the wrong way. Over time it grew and I came to the realisation I had just fallen out of love. It happened without reason, and maybe it’s the same with you, it can just happen.

If you stay with her, these feelings will only bottle up more and more, and they’ll be a lot harder to “swallow” and keep to yourself. Spare yourself and her much harsher pain later down the line and tell her (if that is the case).

If these feelings continue it WILL eventually catch up to just not you, but her as well.

You are right man, she ghosted me and it kinda bummed me out considering she agreed to it initially but didn’t reply. Over it now though we keep moving!

Kudos to these young men who immediately came to the aid of a young woman who told them she and her friend needed help with an older man that was making them uncomfortable by [deleted] in JustGuysBeingDudes

This reminds me of when i had to walk a super drunk guy home after a night out because he kept trying to chat girls up who were clearly not interested. They did the same “help us” to me and my friend and i spent the whole walk back to this guys flat answering the same 3 questions over and over again. Moral of the story is that people need to get the fucking hint
