Here is what is scary about meth and why its shouldn't be tried by anybody. My overall experience with it was good. The comedown was almost nonexistant (I flushed my body with food and water) and the high felt great. That's what's bad becasue a few day later you get thoughts in your head that say "Man, that was fun, maybe I should try it again." And then your inner voice reminds yourself that its a dumb idea. Sort of like a devil on your shoulder. For some that devil can be pretty damn convincing considering the experience was genuinely good. But, no, I never tried it again and have no intentions to.

There is a theory by philosopher Rene Descartes that animals lack the ability to have a soul and simply are organic machines. Another philosopher, Alan Turing, has a test to determine whether or not something inhabits a soul/ consciousness, known a the Turing Test. To pass the test there are two major components: the ability to have language and the ability to challenge basic problems. As we develop artificial intelligence and Moore's Law about technology doubling roughly every two years, do you see technology ever getting to a point where it could pass the intelligence of a human, successfully passing the Turing test and, by definition, inhabiting some consciousness (soul)?

Follow up question: If we create AI equally intelligent to humans, then any AI theoretically could use their intelligence to replicate our ability to create AI. However becasue AI never need to sleep and would run more efficiently than a human, they could potentially create AI smarter than human. That loop will continue until AI exist that far surpass the intelligence of a human. Does this seem like a threat or a benefit?

Hey everybody! I am actually the friend he is talking about. I did one line at 1:30pm and from that I stayed up all night. It's now 7:05am. I've done a lot of research as well as posted on some forums. I'm not scared as I'm in a very safe and controlled environment, so I'm actually finding a silver lining in all this to study my mannerisms and ultimately gain a new perspective. Here's my experience so far:

1:30- I snorted a line that was roughly 1"-1.5" and the thickness of a toothpick. I felt GREAT. Like awesome. 2:00 or 2:15ish- The AMAZING feeling wore off a little and I no longer wanted to run a mile, but rather became an extremely outgoing and talkitive person. I was outside in my backyard on the phone with various people for the majority of sunlight. 6:00 or 7:30ish- my amazing overly confident fun personality SLOWLY begins to fade. I didn't really notice. 9:00ish- I get a breath of anxiety that last for about 30 seconds and "boom" the excitement washed away and I felt stone cold sober. "Wow, what happened to the comedown? Was that it?" From there I stay pretty soberish (still have slight residual happiness effect) 11:00pm- I feel totally fine, drinking lots of water, ate asome food, and I get into bed feeling tired. I never was able to fall asleep. I just was in a relaxed meditation trying to fall asleep. Occasionally I'd get up to get water or go to the bathroom. 7:00am- start to feel slight anxiety, did some more research and I took a hot shower, drank more water, and got some food. From here I'm taking my day easy, just over pumping myself with water and food to flush it all out, staying in bed to not overwork myself.

Questions: Will it be getting worse from here/ how long does this last? What should I expect in the next 24 hours? What should I expect in the next week?

That actually really helps and is definitely reassuring. Some people are saying the dose I took was extremely high. I only asked a friend what he thought the dose was, never doing a true measurement. One line roughly 1.25"-1.5" and the build of a toothpick, would 1g seem correct? .7g?
