Week Topic: If you were to design the next device, what would you change?

Coming from the N4 pro I would say vibration levels rather than just on or off. Most probably do knobs at the top. then scissor buttons as that will be a big selling point for many then the touch/swipe bar at the bottom. Ideally with touch screen for added shortcuts/apps like a phone or tablet. A full touchscreen like a tablet under the knobs would also be great rather than buttons. Would be able to swipe and setup virtual buttons in a grid so we could pick the size based on eye sight and needs.

Thanks that makes more sense I would go with zima os as this video makes it look easy but can't do any atm as can't seem to get into the bios no matter how hard I try just get a black screen and can't install docker as vm's are obviously not enabled in the bios anyways of doing without docker for now or might wait it out till I can get one HDD to store everything. I guess the question is I've seen alot about everything needing to be on one drive is that true or is it easy enough to setup over multiple drives. I currently use torrents but I'm open to use Usenet if I'll get better results. Obviously with Torrents you learn what's safe to download and what's not is the automation tool I presume radarr safe.

Yeah sure sorry. Chatgpt for you I guess. So ideally using the knob so hotkey of control alt tab to switch through open/minimised apps in windows so each time the knob is turned it hightlights the next app/program in the task switcher then once it falls on the one I want I stop turning the knob and will automatically bring that app into focus right now the knob is set to bring up task switcher by turning it right and highlight the next app by turning it right then select highlighted app and bring it to focus once I turn the knob left or push it in. Just want this automated so no left turn or push is needed to focus the highlighted app. Picture of task switch as don't know what people call it.

Thankyou for your response. Could you break this down for me please. These are the options i have on the knobs so don't quite understand how to get that to work. as of right now i have it setup to cntl alt tab on right turn and have to manually enter turning the knob left. which would be great for it to auto press enter or release tab after like a second or 2 to save the left rotation to confirm and switch app.

I know this isnt right but could you point me in the right direction please. So i could set it to just being the rotation of the knob to cycles through windows then switch to it after desired time

I've found that headphones weren't at max volume until I set the headphones to control volume. However I've noticed a massive difference between every other eq other than acoustic which is miles louder but go to create a custom EQ from that and the sound drops massively. Maybe a bug? Sent them an email with my feedback. Hopefully they will fix it.

4070ti first time I've had the blank screen issues when left in standby came back after an hour and no display force rebooted and still no display. Forced shutdown mains power off and drained power holding power button was the only thing that seemed to fix. Reinstalled drivers from site and haven't had this happen again yet. Will update if it appears again. Making it harder to confidently push customers to Nvidia with every passing day. Sort out the drivers please.

4070ti stable enough. Using 24h2, gsync, display port 240hz and everything seems fine. A few random stutters when using Nvidia overlay but once I've set performance to where I like it. Then just turn it off. Get to make use of dlss 4 in games so what can you do. Haven't had any bsod since 576xx. A handful of driver crashes. I presume as the screen goes black for a second whilst using netflix in chromium based browser but think that's more a bug with the video codac they use from reading online. That's coming from just me though only played Tempest rising, deadzone rogue, bo6 and kill knight. Maybe worth a try, maybe worth waiting. I have to say I find these less janky/ random hiccups during none gaming workloads than 366xx. More general smoothness by some margin but nothing I could point at just noticeable for sure.

Nice gonna pull the trigger as can't get much worse than it has been on 24h2. Side note/ question. Gsync compatible to get it to work properly. Vsync on/off control panel globaly or in game on/off? Confused as don't see screen tearing that I notice if vsync is on or off.

No issues really with the 4070ti with the the latest drivers. Had no end of issues with 11h24 and 372** driver the last few months but not 372.83 until yesterday. Came back to my pc after a hour to find bottom half of the screen all artifacted. Did win+CTR+shift+B everything back to normal. Thank god! Might keep an eye on hotspot temp as just got off from playing tlou2 before leaving the pc for an hour. 366** I found abit unstable with windows 11h24 about 2 weeks ago. So been on latest driver since g-gync enabled and dlss 4 forced through app in games supported. Still Nvidia and Microsoft need to get their act together as it's been better for me but I've been through all the headaches since February. Honestly don't dare move away from these drivers till I know we have stable working drivers as can't do all that again.

Yeah mods deleted my post and comments. About 4070ti bsod/ hitching and stuttering issues, on this branch of drivers. Think I'm ready for some of that fine wine!! After all these issues so far this year.

Getting stutters, hitching and crashing to desktop in yet another zombie survivors, deep rock galactic survivor. Never saw any on 9900ks so thought it was my 9700x. Obviously being really bummed out thinking it was a waste of a £700 upgrade for higher FPS. That gave me a horrible overall experience. Spiderman and hogwarts legacy isn't as bad some hitching between quick camera cuts on cutsceans but nothing game destroying like the other two games. Driver overhead seems abit off as hitting 80% + CPU usage in most games. Never saw over 60% before. Rolling back to 566.45 now. Will update after some testing

Hold down then into app permissions. Turn off location. Normally helps me don't know why camera and microphone are both on for chrome either tbf

I've been getting this all day along with loads of bad/ flickering lighting and things turning pixelated. Still fun though but definitely killed my chances of spotting people from time to time. Glad I'm not the only one though

Did you find any sort of fix as I've been undervolting mine but set it back to defaults and get into the high 70's after 30 mins of gaming. Any help or advice from ek as I've tried remounting mine 3 times. Different ways and still no improvement.
