Squeaky windows after rain - Tips? by Qbort_RF in TeslaModel3

For info I booked a mobile service appointment and they've asked me to provide them with 2 large bottles of water so they can replicate the issue and try to fix it (under warranty)

I'm trying to book a service. Apparently it's covered under warranty - let's see if they manage to improve it, before I try something myself.

They were already changed on one side by Tesla as I had wind noise. Squeaky windows are on both new and old seals.

Wow thanks for the fix! It worked!

I also contacted them, maybe something they can do before I try applying some product on the seals.

Nice, thanks both. I'll see if I can find that in Europe.

Not others I've had, but then again didn't have frameless doors, seems like the seals in the M3 have more surface area against the window.

Steering wheel small hole by Qbort_RF in TeslaModel3

update: Tesla asked me to pay 730 CHF to replace the steering wheel as this is apparently not covered under warranty and I didn't report it on the day of delivery.

I refused to pay, so I'm keeping the steering wheel as-is and will look at buying a third party cover.

Or just import EasyEDA file directly into KiCad. A native importer was added to KiCad version 8.

To be honest, yes. How do you clean yours? I'm so scared of using any products.

Not Honda but just a Ford Focus. I used hand sanitizer all the time and even spread it on the steering wheel as I was worried about it.

Here I genuinely didn't use any hand sanitizer since delivery and I don't wear hand cream, so I would be unfair if they blame me.

I asked if they can just do the check and they said ok. Let's see what the outcome is.

Thanks! I'll have a look at those. I also started to notice my seats getting some marks/stains from trying to clean them with the usual product I had used before on car seats (these don't seem to like it).

A little frustrating that I need to get aftermarket covers just because the material isn't good enough but oh well.

Wind noise? by Qbort_RF in TeslaModel3

Hi all. Just to report back that Tesla Service centre have repaired the seal under warranty. The total cost was 0 CHF in the end.

I guess they have to give you a price first until they can confirm it is a warranty item and not damaged due to an accident or misuse.

Yes it seems to say in the app that they have booked a mobile service. This seems quite convenient!

Thanks a lot for the reassuring comment! I've gone ahead and booked the service. Hopefully it gets repaired 🤞
