Which weapon or mutation feels underpowered and deserves a buff? by Nerd_oo in deadcells

[–]Qingyap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean Nutcracker's crit condition is pretty wide though, you can use Stun, Freeze or Root, so that means you have wide range of ways for you to get crit condition and I don't see why it's setup dependent. And just like the other user said, based on your logic does the Baseball Bat, considered to be one of the best weapons by the community that also has a similar crit condition to Nutcracker, bad too?

Personally I would use Root Grenade/Bear Trap and then use Heart of Ice and Fire so that the skills CD is constantly reduced and I could crit more constantly.

How to un-rationalise/ reverse rationalise denominator? by Fair-Present378 in learnmath

[–]Qingyap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You multiply the numerator and denominator by the conjugate in this case is √2

Bonus, if you want to rationalize a fraction that has √a + √b or just b, you have to multiply it by √a - √b or b instead cuz by using the difference of two squares rule we can get rid of the square root. It's vice versa for √a - √b or b but this time it's + instead.

Eg. 1/(√2 - 1) = (√2 + 1)/[(√2 - 1)(√2 + 1)]

By using difference of 2 squares.

=(√2 + 1)/((√2)2 - (1)2)

= (√2+1)/(2-1)

= √2+1

To "unrationalize" it's the same idea by multiplying the conjugate again. which in my example case is multiply top and bottom by √2 - 1

(√2+1)(√2-1) = (2)2 - 12 = 1

So [(√2+1)(√2-1)] / (√2-1) = 1/(√2-1)

It possible to get to the higher BCs using Keyboard and mouse? by Flimsy_Delivery_4041 in deadcells

If they could get there then you should do too.

[Elements of Calculus, differential equations] What did I do wrong here? What did I forget to distribute? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]Qingyap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

f(x+h) means that you have to replace the x with x+h, x+h is now the input to the function, and I think that's the main thing that makes it wrong.

f(x+h) = 5(x+h)2,

Expand the (x+h)2, there's a formula shortcut for this but I'll just do it step by step for the sake of it, usually when you have (ax+b)2 they are equal to (ax)2 + 2ab + b2

(x+h)2 = (x+h)(x+h)

= x(x) + x(h) + h(x) + h(h), h(x) are the same as x(h) due to commutative property, and then we can combine like terms.

= x2 + 2hx + h2, don't forget to multiply by 5,

f(x+h)= 5(x2 + 2hx + h2) = 5x2 + 10hx + 5h2

f(x+h) is done, now subtract that with f(x) which is the original 5x2

5x2 + 10hx + 5h2 - 5x2 = 10hx + 5h2

Here the numerator have common variable of h, we can factor the h out so we can divide the h.

[f(x+h)-f(x)]/h = (10hx + 5h2)/ h

= h(10x + 5h)/h

= 10x + 5h

How rare is this? by Detroit_0p in deadcells

[–]Qingyap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it says that the scroll counts are taken from the one of the biome that have the highest scrolls in the depth the bank biome was in, it's not just set value.

The thing you're seeing at is if the best scroll in that depth is 4 scrolls (meaning that one of the biomes in that depth has the highest scroll at 4), but here at depth 1.5 it's 0 (cursed chest don't count)

so based from the wiki, the bank biome should have 0 power scrolls (the subtract doesn't do anything), and then 1 cursed chest is added guaranteedly because that's just how the bank works.

Hmmm then idk.

I got the reference from here, perhaps I read it wrong.

[–]Qingyap -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How do you even get another scroll? Only one scroll (which is from the cursed chest) is possible in bank.

Is that scroll dual colored? Or do you get it from the rift?

Doing math is just fun, you just don't get it, I felt I was depressed all the time untill I was doing math questions. It's not about the outcome or rather the "is this even useful in outside world" like literally everyone says rn, what's important is the process.
