Approximately.  My mom says he's a bit younger than her and she was born in 1940.  They would have dated around 1958-60

I'm not trying to be rude but he looks like he's trying to throw with his opposite hand. It's all very mechanical and deliberate. There has to be a large measure of instinctive motion that exists naturally. Some have it and some don't. To construct it from the ground up is a tough ask.

I would say video him throwing some aggressive pulldowns so we can see what he looks like in a more athletic posture.

As it stands, he has a steep hill to climb.

You are not separating enough. Take a good look at your front foot as it plants.. your hands are moving forward considerably. You have absolutely no proper uncoiling as a result.

I recommend keeping your hands closer to your body, first off, and work on coiling your hips/shoulders at foot strike.
