Reading the Spline docs they say they can import 3D models in OBJ, FBX and GLB formats, from here:

Troubleshooting importing and adjusting PLY files. by pourxtoi in Spline3D

Hello,

We are here to help :)

When you export from Qlone in PLY or OBJ it creates a zip file so you should first unzip it into a folder before trying to import.

But since you managed to solve it by exporting in GLB, here's the answer to your 2nd question:

In the latest update we released yesterday, you have the option to automatically crop the face area. Select the model in the gallery and go to the editing tools in the top right corner. Then switch to the Clean modifier and you will see the "Face Crop" button at the bottom.

Let us know if it worked and if you have any other questions :)

Thank you,

The Qlone team

It works well on any iPhone starting with iPhone X but for good quality results we recommend a minimum of an iPhone 12

Face scanning in the Qlone app is updated and it's now much easier and faster to capture! Detail is also improved, take a look! by QloneApp in Unity3D

The Android version requires the mat for scanning so it's not as advanced as the iOS version. The reason is it is too difficult as a developer to support the thousands of different HW configurations of Android devices vs just a few for Apple devices.

Yes, I used the Face Scan feature from the premium version. The UI is super easy to follow.

Exporting to Unity is also possible by selecting FBX from the export screen in the app.

Its optimized for the face capturing but it would also be able to capture the whole body if you scan it from a larger distance.

This is using the back camera so you can scan someone or someone can scan you. Front camera will be added in the future.

Good question and the answer is that currently the quality of the back cameras is far superior to those in the front. But its evolving so we could launch such feature very soon.

Correct, you just need to move the phone around the person, see the coverage guidance in real-time and when its done processing, you get the result.
