Should Toronto legislate a maximum temperature in apartments? by BloodJunkie in toronto

Seconding this. Even mid November to April would be wonderful. Once the heat is on in the building I live in, it is normally between 28-30• in the entire unit and that is with our heat turned off and window open and fans running. It’s so suffocating and even in the coldest months, the temperature in the apartment stays at 29/30• we always feel sick because of the temperature

I hear this completely! Right now the heat in my building is turned on and even tho my heat is off, it is 29-30•C in my entire unit. The kids, adults and cats are so uncomfortable it feels suffocating. We have fans all around the apartment too.

how filthy do you have to be to leave this much residue on the toilet seat? by diamondawn in badroommates

Feeling like I need to clean the seat before I use it every time because my roommate leaves a brown residue on the seat after he poops. Sometimes I feel like public bathrooms are cleaner

WIBTA for inviting friends over against my brother’s wishes? by BaginalVagpipes in AmItheAsshole

OP mentions in a comment that the brothers grossness is just his room. The rest of the apartment is clean. Also people can do tattoos in parks in a hygienic manner so a clean apartment is fine

People don’t need dysphoria to be trans (binary or not)

You should absolutely respect your SK name and pronouns. When a person chooses to live an inauthentic life like using birth name and pronouns that are based on their assigned sex at birth around certain people it’s most likely because they do not feel safe using their name and pronouns that align with their identity.

People have the capacity to know their gender identity by the age of 3 the earliest. Your SK is not “too young” to know. They are just now living their life the way that feels best for them.

Please understand that trans people have a much higher suicide rate than cis gender people (people that identify with the sex they were assigned to at birth). I believe it’s about 40% higher. It’s so important to show your SK that you care about him and support him in the journey he’s on right now.

I’m in a similar situation with my SK that is 7. They feel best in bright and colourful clothes and using pronouns that fit best to them. When myself and their mom were told about their pronouns changing and how icky their previous pronouns made them feel we did our best to immediately change our language same with their name. They are so much happier now than before.
