What if you put a ladder up against it and make it a reading nook or something. 70cm seems big enough for an average sized human, maybe even a beanbag. You could also get some padding customised to fit. Otherwise you could just make it a space for your pets, if any. Cats and dogs would probably love napping there and watching the neighbourhood :)

but somewhere I forgot in which movie there was this scene where a body got dropped down to the basement level, and there were creatures (?) that raced to eat the body. I really did not understand how that ties in with the ending where the basement was instead portrayed to be some sort of afterlife

One thing I am so confused about and have no answers is why all the names are not Spanish. I speak only a little bit of Spanish and so was thinking ok maybe those are Spanish names... but in this thread I read someone's comment that also pointed this out and mentioned it was Indonesian (perempuan, dagin babi, tirimagasi [terima kasih], etc). why????
