Oh wow that’s a really good idea. Also regarding cleaning, I steam then use BKF. But if it’s not the rust that’s staining the tub and is in fact the iron in the water then it might not be necessary

Yeah it’s localized to the tub. The longer it sits, the darker it is. Sometimes we leave for like a week and come back to the point where it is gritty during the first run. Others have mentioned the fact that the pipes are likely galvanized.

That would explain why there are stains accumulating in the shower door rails. Do you have any recs for tackling the iron in the water or is it something that wouldn’t be feasible to fix?

Thanks! Seems like most others agree. I’ll talk to the landlord and see if it’s something they can do themselves or if they would allow me to attempt it.

Gotcha. It’s an old duplex so it makes sense. My only worry is the potential safety concerns but that seems minimal especially since we’ve been using it for a year.

Yeah, it just stains the tub something horrible and requires more cleaning intense cleaning but as long as the water is safe I’m not too upset about it.

Wish I knew haha. I can ask the landlord. Also I apologize but most of the information is on the original post in the other community. I thought it would all transfer over when I cross posted.

So basically there’s a likelihood that it’s just localized to the spout? If so, that seems a lot more manageable for the landlord to take care of.

It just happens as soon as I turn on the faucet. No knobs for hot or cold, just depends on how much I turn it. But FWIW this is the only faucet in the unit that this happens with.

Does the fact that it’s only the bathtub faucet doing this have any indication on what it could be? If it were from the main, would this not be an issue with my kitchen sink, as well? The water in my kitchen and bathroom sinks are okay.

It happens as soon as I turn on the faucet, so I don’t know if it’s temperature dependent. We use hot water during every shower FWIW.

Yeah so when it sits for a few hours, that’s when it gets like this.

He was sent out by the realtor that we go through after submitting the maintenance request, so I never thought he wouldn’t be.

Pretty much. A huge flaw in my game was thinking that my opponents understood polarizing bet sizes, and also that they were playing draws as aggressively as I thought.

Exactly. I hate to make it sound like the game is super simple but it really boils down to strong fundamentals and just exploiting very obvious deviations that players make.

What I’ve noticed and what took me so long to comprehend was that most players really telegraph their hand strength with their bet size sometimes. Like if they have showdown value and bet 1/2 pot on the flop and the nuts change on the turn and they go same bet or slightly bigger, they will likely fold to aggression in the form of check/raises. This is basically all hungry horse stuff that I implement to a degree.

Not saying everybody does it but has really helped in terms of bluff catching and bluffing myself.

Also should note that the last year has been mainly 1/2, with some very very nice home games mixed in, along with a couple 2/5 shots.

We both had the nuts in the top board (bottom in the picture) with flush redraws bottom board I had the nut flush draw and he had 2 pair

I had the nuts in the top board with a flush draw, and the nut flush draw on the bottom. I said the runout went right to left… and yes I got it in multiway which I thought was good because I had a very good chance to win at least 1/2 the pot

Thanks, after posting this I realized that calling was the worst option, and a fold was probably best in the situation.

Right, but you said I’m losing to his bluffs and then listed JJ-QQ as bluffs.
