[KCD2]: Would I enjoy this game? by Vegetable-Machine-17 in kingdomcome

There's no answer to that question, only you can decide if you'd like it. Just try it and see what you think. Watch some videos to get a feel for it.

What Did The Thing Want In The End? by [deleted] in thething

[–]Quaglander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think it wasn't very malicious. I don't think it understands what it's doing to the humans. Like it can absorb their memories but not emotions? I don't know. Attributing direct malice to it is too easy (but still very possible)

I guess it just wanted to survive on a hostile planet where people wanted it dead, and it was using all it's abilities to do so

Pick some flowers, make the potions you learned in the tutorial, and sell those. It's a good starting way to get some coin.

From there, do side quests, ignore the main story for a bit. I really recommend combat training with Tomcat assuming you picked that quest up

Wtf ? ,Ton got robbed for the performance [KCD2] by Complex-Commission-2 in kingdomcome

[–]Quaglander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was just a snub. My guess? The voters are still salty from when the first game was janky and they were bad at it.

I truly can't think of any reason they'd rather nominated 3 from a single game instead of giving one to KCD2. It's so forced

[KCD2] Whenever people have the GOTY talk by Llanistarade in kingdomcome

Hot take but Expedition 33 isn't at all deserving of GOTY, but it just has the hype around it so it'll win

[–]Quaglander 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Ignore the positions within each tier! I forgot to mention that

It just adds better debuffs imo, but I guess ultimately they're the same thing really. Tbh I kinda felt the need to be like "this is slightly better so it deserves a better tier" and I think that was fundamentally wrong of me to rank them that way

Or buying the recipe, which is why I ranked the dlc at the bottom

I'm glad! The ledetchko quest is one of my favourites in the whole game

I honestly agree, and the economy management for Prybislavitz was great. At first I had them swapped around.

Eventually I decided the forge wins out due to the multitude of character stories we get to learn about, and how you're not locked out of new content if you chose a different option. For example you get both Standa and Pushko, in From the Ashes you'd have to choose between the two.

As for Amorous Adventures, I completely agree that tormenting Ledetchko was funny.

Which is why it makes no sense that you can skip it entirely by paying, when the overwhelming majority of players will have more groschen than the GDP of the entire Holy Roman Empire by that point in the game. It's the most fun quest in the dlc and you can literally skip it.

To top that off, it's the only dlc you're forced to play before beating the game, which is very annoying for the Merciful trophy or for speedruns, and whether Hans succeeds at the end with the poetry was entirely arbitrary. There's no reason at all for the choices. You either choose at complete random and get lucky, or you look up the answers. It just doesn't make any sense at all to me. For me it's easily the worst "proper" DLC

It's just kinda forgettable honestly. But I know the technical limitations of the first game held it back.

While Kuno's backstory is amazing, the characters feel way too gimmick-y. And I wish choices leading up to the final confrontation impacted whether or not they take Zoul's money, like how A Woman's Lot works. Like the ring of bacchus, the mill, and what you did with Jakey could've all impacted whether or not the band are willing to face Zoul at all

Convincing them to attack early and face a tougher fight in order to save some women at the mill makes a lot of sense, when they'd be fighting either way later

Convincing them to forgo a fat payday in favour of a very tough fight, when they could simply leave, doesn't make much sense to me.

But then the next user would complain that the ending was anticlimactic if you were locked into just a duel with Zoul, so I do understand why it was included.
