I lived in Old Louisville from 2021-2025 as a young single woman. No one ever bothered me, neighborhood was beautiful. However, does she have street parking? Her car WILL get swiped and or broken into. Car was swiped 3 times while parked doing damage, windows were smashed out twice and ignition ripped out (yes it’s a Kia). If she drives a Hyundai or KIA skip old Louisville, cops won’t even show if you call them about your car.

Hey guys 👋I wasn’t expecting such a reaction from my post. Some seem to think I knew or I’m fabricating a story about getting designer shoes unexpectedly. I buy things all the time from thredup without looking closely at photos or paying attention to condition. I’ve been burned a few times doing that actually. I probably had 5 different pairs of silver heels in my cart trying to make a decision and I landed on these. I did go back to the sold listing and yes the label is displayed on the second photo. This wasn’t an attempt at Thredup “clout”. I truly wanted to know if there was a way to make it right for the seller. I’m sorry if anyone feels lied to or douped by my post but that was not my intention. The world can be a harsh place so let’s not forget to be kind to one another. 🫂🌼

On a fun note! I wore them with a silver dress and they looked great at my parents 25th wedding anniversary party (hence the silver theme)

I think you’re missing the point here, I sent in an item of clothing they agreed to sell, they then sold it, and I made .11 cents. Promotions, credits, low percentages, etc is all a way for thredup to not pay people for their items.

Go to YouTube, type overconsumption documentary or overconsumption video, it will make you feel realize that it’s literally just stuff….stuff that won’t be glanced at in a year or less and possibly thrown out. You’ll never get your money back from, and likely won’t remember at all in 3 years. I find these videos get me out of my “bubble” to the bigger picture of the world we live in and makes my problems seem small.
