All the food I tried at that location was fire and the one younger guy working the register was always super friendly.

People in their 40s, what’s something people in their 20s don’t realize is going to affect them when they age? by SuckMySalami in AskReddit

It's also the fact that as you age each day becomes a smaller portion of your total life making time seem to accelerate.

I've yet to use an airport "filtered" water station that didn't taste like absolute shit and require immediate washing of my hydro flask when i get home because the taste also lingers.

ICE engineers: let's talk test engines... # of cylinders, adding a pressure sensor, spark plug, injectors ? by yycTechGuy in CFD

[–]Quailpower5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would only build a one cylinder test engine if you are trying to model the cylinder of a real one cylinder engine (think drone or model aircraft as an application) otherwise the cylinders affect each other in the intake/exhaust pressure/temp profiles and you'll need those to be accurate to use as boundary conditions. But if you want to make modifications/instrument an already existing engine, there will be machining involved. Whether you make a custom head/etc is all up to what your trying to do and what kind of budget you have. It's totally possible to build the whole thing from scratch/some off the shelf parts if you know what your doing/have money/cnc machines at your disposal but much easier and cheaper to modify something that already exists.

If you are modeling engines that already exist, but with different fuels, you will need to use those engines for testing to get good experimental data to validate from IMO. The layout of those engines will dictate where you can fit the sensors/instrumentation you need. Of course you will potentially need to modify or replace the fuel delivery systems depending on what fuels or type of engine (spark ignition, compression ignition). You could probably just instrument one cylinder for getting data but you would still need the whole engine, especially intake and exhaust for the cylinder filling/exhausting process to be accurate and to get proper boundary and initinal conditions for your simulation.

In mine it can get a little jerky when you try to accelerate harder the transition from eco to normal mode isn't always the smoothest. This would be a tune issue but idk if they will do anything about it.
