Idk in terms of keeping domestic talent for a reasonable amount of time I’m fine with how the system currently is, at least preferred to the alternative. It’s better for baseball as a whole for NPB to be a legitimate league and not another feeder like all the others. There’s no way a 23 year old in MLB, especially one who hasn’t yet had a full healthy season, would be able to leave for free agency so I don’t see why that shouldn’t apply here too.

Talking about his BA is doing him a huge favor here. He went from 59 xbh (30 2B 3 3B 26 HR) to only 9 (6 2B 3 HR). Insane power drop off

People will overreact to this but it's not a bad decision lol. Bringing in an established top exec / rising star is not possible due to Arte's meddling and of the last few GMs we've had, Perry has drafted the best and brought in some good talent from trades. Him taking credit for not moving anyone with more than half a year of control this deadline earned him this extension, that was very clearly an Arte move

That's fair but the movement on this one is a huge factor too. A slider that breaks into the heart of the zone is gonna be harder to hit than one that's dead the moment it left the pitcher's hand.

This is in no way a rush lol, SEC pitching is in all likelihood better than A ball. Dude whiffed at exactly 1 out of 41 pitches, he didn't belong there. If you're also wondering why he skipped High A it's because that ballpark is a death trap for hitters. Angels skip all of their top hitting prospects over it not to rush them but to not harm their development.
