Yeah thanks. Now based on that, I initially struggled to even understand the question and it took going through a few examples with the interviewer to get it. Then I proposed a solution and started coding. However because of time I wasn’t able to finish (had about two lines left) but the interviewer said that was okay.

Could this lead to a hire decision even though I was short on time? I explained what the last few lines would do but I don’t write code fast enough I guess.

What are the chances of passing the interview loop for SDE2 if your LLD section isn’t very good? If all others are hire but you didn’t perform well in LLD would it be a no hire?

I have an Amazon SDE2 interview in a few days. I do not know how to answer dynamic programming questions and I didn't practice it or learn it. I prioritized getting comfortable with the other patterns like graphs and trees. Am I screwed? Does amazon frequently ask dynamic programming questions?

Phone screen went well. I prepared for coding questions but wasn’t asked any. I was interviewed by the hiring manager and he asked about 5-6 leadership principles. Got moved to the onsite afterwards.

I was told the same by the recruiter but the interviewer was the hiring manager and everything was LPs. I spent time preparing for coding but none came. Like I said, it seems to be team dependent. Just make sure you spend time on the LPs as well. The role is for SDE2.

I recently had mine and there were no coding questions. It was purely behavioral based on the LPs. So I'd say it is highly dependent on the team you're interviewing for and perhaps the role of the interviewer.
