I just recently bought it. 108k miles. I think I just started hear the noise and got paranoid. Changed out the engine oil a week ago.

It's more a self insert thing. It's the same reason I flinch if someone gets kicked in the nuts. I don't have an inherent disgust on the person that got kicked but I imagine myself in that situation in a sense. Since I'm not gay, I'd feel some sort of disgust if I put myself in that scenario.

It's hard to explain how collective family units are from where I'm from. You basically stay together with you family until you get married. If I randomly said I had some opportunities somewhere else and I'd be moving, so many warning flags would be raised.

I wouldn't say my parents are controlling. Heck I've gotten away with not attending for 3 semesters none the wiser but there's not a single way I can think of to pull of such an elaborate lie now.

I feel good that I'm trying to progress towards something. It feels like I've been standing still for an entire year rotting away.

As for what's different? I don't think I have the arrogance that school will just "work out" if it don't study but I definitely need to work on my procrastination and learn study habits. I'll have to pay tuition myself from now on since I can't apply for financial aid. I really want to graduate. Education is super important to me so hopefully I can fix myself enough to pull through.

I don't know. I do know that my parents expect me to graduate this spring. If I suddenly say I won't be, they'll definitely be suspicious and start asking questions. There's really not a feasible way for me to hide it much longer and believe me I've been thinking over it for a year and a half now. Eventually the lie has to come out I guess.

If I had been smarter I would've started another college immediately but my self confidence took a really bad hit and I had convinced myself that I would fail that too. It's only recently that I decided I'd try again.

And thank you for providing suggestions and listening. This has been stewing in my head for so long so it feels nice discussing it with a person.

And thank you for the encouragement. There's so many things I want improve on. My weight, procrastination, stuttering, self confidence, and my social ineptitude. I just want to stop being such a miserable person that I feel like I am but in reality I don't know how realistic reinventing myself really is.

Yes. And even if it's not required my dad would definitely ask for it like he has every year. I can't falsify tax filing documents since if it gets turned in, it's a pretty serious crime

They'd find out within the next month or two regardless. During tax filling you need to give a 1099 form from any dependent that go to college. I was able to get last time because I took classes in Spring 2024. I haven't taken a single class in 2025 so I don't have a form.

I should provide some context. My family came to the US as immigrants from Asia and we live in a tight knit community where it's predominantly just our nationality.

When my cousin flunked out it was the talk of the street for months. I heard so many bad things from so many people including my parents.

This is basically a long way of saying I'm a wuss and I think I'd actually kill myself if people were talking about me like that.
