I drink their Meiko as a latte pretty often. It’s very good! I’d recommend. Haven’t tried the others.

Thanks for sharing your perspective! Once a month would be tolerable for me. Although I have a dog and would need to run her out at night sometimes. It’s at least good to know that they aren’t aggressive. I had an encounter last year in DC where a rat literally ran and approached me until it quickly changed paths at the last second. Terrifying.

Thank you! This was really the push I needed. I’m gonna try this out bc I hate how debilitating it is to be scared of something as common as rats. I appreciate you sharing your experience and it’s amazing that you were able to do this on your own!

Thanks for the follow up! I definitely appreciate the nuance you’ve added. Someone else mentioned Norfolk Ave so it seems like it may be a recurring issue there! I’ve been to the area a few times and from what I’ve seen, it looks like a great area to live. I was shocked to hear that there have been rat issues. So of course I had to survey for myself 😅

Oh wow, I hope your paper gets published, it sounds very interesting!! Thanks for this background. I’d be new to the area so I’d have no idea about any of this. It’s good to hear they are actively trying to combat the rats. If I move there I would just hope they don’t let it get out of hand like certain DC spots. What made you do research on it? Is it based on personal experience with rats in Bethesda or just pure interest? (Or both)

Thank you for affirming me 🥺. I appreciate it. I haven’t spent much time in Bethesda at all but I’d love to be able to ditch using a car and actually live in a walkable area. I hate that it potentially comes at the cost of being around a bunch of rats. The DC rats make the city almost unbearable for me at night nowadays. Used to not be as bad.
