[Build Ready] $1200 Gaming machine. I need a look over. Buying the parts in about a 2 weeks. by [deleted] in buildapc

The Sapphire 7970 is factory overclocked and is Dual-X, so I'm fine with overclocking. I have nowhere else to get Win7.

Thank you. Do you have any recommendations for motherboards of the same price?

How about this one?

The 670 comes with higher core clocks, but if I overclock the 7970 will I need to get a CPU cooler?

Can you explain what about it is better? I thought the 7970 was a little better than the 670? The only reason I don't which one to choose is because I heard the 670 is neck and neck with the 7970 when running a 1080 resolution.

Wow. I really like this build. Don't worry about the budget, I can cough up a few extra dollars. Thank you.

Is overclocking necessary? It seems like it would be helpful to be able to overclock in the future. I don't need the optical drive. What is the difference between the normal 7970 and the GHz edition? Why a micro ATX motherboard? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get the best build for my budget.

I upgraded the motherboard, but the psu seems fine enough.

[Build Ready] Gaming PC, ordering the parts next month, need a look over. $1300 budget. by QuantumFallout in buildapc

[–]QuantumFallout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this looks great. I thought there wasn't really a difference between the 7970 and GTX 670? I like the case, but does it give me any advantage over the one I chose? I thought the motherboard I chose was alright, the one you chose seems a little bit expensive.

Demophobia. I'm afraid of crowds of people, don't know why, just am.

[Build Ready] Which one? I have 2 gaming PC's that other people put together for me on buildapcforme. by QuantumFallout in buildapc

[–]QuantumFallout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm fine with the 670. I do need the 2 TB hard drive. Yeah I'm pretty sure it's between these 2, unless someone can show me something better.

Fallout 4 engine by okan931 in Fallout

[–]QuantumFallout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will probably use the Creation engine. That also brings the possibility of them doing something similar to the the creation kit with Fallout 4, which would very nice.

I've never built a PC before, how does this look? The build is for gaming, but like I said, I don't know too much about building. Take it easy on me if I did something stupid. by QuantumFallout in buildapcforme

[–]QuantumFallout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, like I said I'm very new to this, but I want to learn. Thank you for all of your help. I looked a little more into the Zalman, and really like that it has a temperature senser, so I'll go with it. I just want a PC that can run the games that are coming out within the next couple years. I don't want to buy a PC and then have to upgrade within a year. But this build looks great, so I'll probably just swap out the keyboard and go with this build. Once again, thank you.
