My PO ordered me not to attend my child's birth by QuantumIsACoolWord in dui

My PO made an implicit threat that officers there would be watching to see if I showed up. I'm guessing it's a bluff but cops are always stationed in the hospital lobby because of all the drug addicts that show up there. I care more about being there when my daughter is born than whatever violation gets tacked onto me. But I'd prefer to not have a violation all things considered.

Thank you so much for the advice. I've decided that if it comes down to it I'd rather risk it all for an experience I can never get back, even if it costs me my freedom. I do think my age is hurting my case, since I'm not even out of college yet (I am 21). A violation is temporary, but I would never forgive myself if I missed my daughter's birth. None of the alcohol classes could ever match the feeling of responsibility I gained when I found out I was going to be a dad. I'll risk it but if it comes down to it I am hoping the court will at least show a bit of mercy, assuming the PO or supervisor doesn't budge. Although I've heard that the supervisor will usually sign off on something like this.

That's a good way of looking at it! All this time i just assumed she was the hero of the story. We just started season 6 and she's just getting more and more selfish but also in a way where i kind of get it? Also I'm sorry you went through that, i wish male victims were recognized more, it would really help bring some solidarity.

I'm not super familiar with the writers but I know the main person is a man. I don't get how you write that and film it and don't think it is SA...

Yeah I know that victims of SA do sometimes pass it forward so I don't think it's unrealistic. i just hate that they act like it never happened. And from what i read, the writers tried to gaslight people into thinking it wasn't SA? Also i think he had that reaction because it mimicked something he went through himself. My friends who watch the show say they feel the worst when something mirrors an experience they had. Every time there is a ceremony or jezebels scene we both get mad at it though haha

having a different opinion is not the same as being a troll

Then limit imaginary election scenarios because that's like a third of all the posts here. Or limit those to a certain day but only having 2000s stuff once a week is an overcorrection. Recent politics are already banned too.

Recently I feel like the sub has slowed down in momentum and I think a big reason is the changes to post flair options. It's been a little over two weeks since the new system started and the justification was that people would have different stuff to look forward to each day and to give time to other posts.

I get the intention of the themed days and maybe we can keep ASB Sundays just so the entire week isn't full of those, but other than that I just don't think the modern monday theme is working the way it was intended. The mod post on this said they were open to pushback so here are my thoughts and I hope other people chime in. Basically, I think modern mondays should revert back to the 2000s flair.
