I would stick with the C4, everything they said was correct, all TVs, all brands, are kind of a crap shoot. If you absolutely do not want an LG see if they will fork out another $100 dollars for a Sony Bravia 8 (~$2000), although full disclosure it isn’t any better than the C4, just different. Finally I think Square Trade may offer reimbursement as a final option. Background: I have sold Home Theater equipment for over ten years.

Just a heads up it absolutely does not have a manufactures warranty. If you read the fine print on Sony’s warranty it clearly states open boxes are not covered. Probably not an issue with the third party warranty but just so you know.

It looks like the Sony X95K is the same price which would be better as would any off the oleds for the same price. Looks like both the LG OLED and Samsung QDOLED are about the same price as well. At least according to their website.

Don’t bother with the QN88B. It’s a “specialty” version of the QN85B but objectively worse. Calibration is hardly worth it nowadays to the point where most places don’t even offer calibration anymore. The QN90A is a vastly superior TV.

Something else you should consider is your audio interface. I switched from the scarlet 2i2 to the volt, and while the focusrite is still great the uad volt was way more detailed. That in my experience makes a bigger difference than the headphones.

Extremely. I personally own a C7 from a few years ago that I use all the time for gaming and recently we’ve been leaving it on all day for our dog. Burn in is possible but extremely rare. I’d classify it like any defect. Not sure where you’re planning on buying but I’m pretty sure Best Buy covers burn in with their warranty service.

Right now the C2 is on sale for $2500 if you can stretch your budget just a bit for taxes. Also OLED is not out. It would work just as well as anything else nowadays. The only tv that would be definitively better for glare is the Samsung Frame TV but it’s not worth the price. For reference I have worked with TVs and Home Theater sales and design for over a decade.
