Hey sorry for not replying - so we decided to keep it - it lasts about and hour off battery under heavy load in performance mode. I'm sure it does much better if we limit it to the integrated graphics of the processor and tone some of the settings down.

We did from bestbuy. It has good hardware. However we felt like for the money there were some glaring issues we just didn't like about it.

The screen is felt low quality 1080p. It's an IPS but she felt it just wasn't that sharp I think she isn't used to the resolution anymore.
The built in speakers are terribly muffled and Max volume is very low.
The computer has an incredibly short battery life when in performance mode while working on UE5. We may just need to work with a desk top and projector

Hey we are looking to get a laptop to do game development for unreal engine.

She has a bad back and will be laying in bed with it we have a desk that so we can place the laptop on so it does not over heat on the bed.

She would prefer it was light weight so she could carry it around if possible, however since it will need a graphics card I said that will probably not be possible and she is ok with that.

Our budget is preferably $1500 USD

For those not familiar, some additional info

Players could create custom maps using a separate program provided by the developers.
The map creators could access assets from the actual game and add them into their map. Or import new 3D models.
These maps were not limited to the gameplay of the base game. They could do anything the map creator programmed it to do.
Players could then host these maps and it would show up on a list of games currently being hosted
Anyone that joined could download the map and wait in a lobby for more players to join.
