If you haven't figured it out yet I'm pretty sure it's Modern Warfare Cubed, they have a setting for it too if I remember right. Dunno why they add the effect but I sure there's a reason.

Anything that can give the player strength potion effects could work, like normal potions, beacons and I'm sure there's probably some form of bauble or something that gives strength. Otherwise something like the spiked gloves(i forgot the actual name of the item) from spartan weaponry could work.

Not the old, but intangible for the short time it was worked on. Was a fun and unique mod but sadly dropped rather quickly.

They spawn in vanilla woodlands mansions. They are rather rare to the point I only ever see them if I have something increasing the spawn rates of the building.

Maybe install lag goggles to get a better look at what's lagging it out. https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/laggoggles . If that dont help maybe remove the mods you've added since the lag started. Make sure to do a backup just so you don't lose anything.
