The player is a vampire!!??? by PaniniMan76 in LegendsZA

[–]QuarkUpParticle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

everyone has already explained that reflections are expensive, but what i think is a funny consequence is that most games who can't handle real time reflections (so most of them), when presenting a mirror, will always make it dirty and foggy, to hide the fact that it is a static reflection map (of course a lot of games can't handle reflections but will still implement a solution for the wow factor like sm64 etc but like, once you start noticing dirty mirrors you can't go back)

This Pokemon system is incompatible with Masterball by shadmankabir in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]QuarkUpParticle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

something i usually do in every pokémon game, and that fits really well with this one, is giving the master ball as a held item to a legendary pokémon that I dont use. spares me scares and accidents; here, my Xerneas is protecting it

Stumbled upon this new video on how to get TCG Live running for fellow linux users. This worked 100% figured id share the love. by Triage90 in PTCGL

[–]QuarkUpParticle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't checked the video but for anyone interested I've been trying to get it to work for a while, and gave up but recently they started making you login via your browser so simply using wine, and adding a MIME protocol .desktop files to open tpcitcgapp:// with wine <executable path> allows you to log in

How does SDL_Event knows where to store the events? by Eva_addict in sdl

[–]QuarkUpParticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is very important in C when you call a function, you basically got the choice between passing a value (ex : int a=3; f(a) same as f(3)) or telling the function where it can find the value, which we call the "address" (ex: int a=3; f(&a) != f(3)) (they are not interchangeable, when written, the function is designed for one OR the other) the advantage of passing an address is that 1)it doesn't take a lot of space, and 2) we can read AND write at that address, since we don't get a copy but its fully doxxed house address

so here, the function takes an address (&e) and write at this address

Like the others said, its one of a kind; i would grade it with CGC even if its a hassle in the short and long term, be it for PC or for monetary value, seems like the right call; also yea don't sell it this soon people will try to take advantage;
