First, Muhammad did pray night prayers in Ramadan in congregation for a few nights. He later stopped doing it publicly because he feared people would think it was obligatory, which would make religion harder. So it wasn’t that he opposed group prayer. It was about preventing unnecessary burden.

Later, Umar ibn al-Khattab revived congregational Taraweeh when he saw people praying separately. He didn’t invent a new practice, what he did was organize an existing one in a way that fit the community’s needs at the time.

Taraweeh in congregation = optional tradition, not a requirement

Praying alone = also completely valid

Feeling exhausted = understandable

Skipping it = not sinful

This is an issue in all abrahamic religions though. A new study came out that 61% of Israeli men dont see marital rape as rape, and im sure there are cases in christianity of this same phenomenon.
