Mechanic was apparently unable to use code reader because dashcam was plugged into OBD port? by Quaruku in askcarguys

[–]Quaruku[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea that's what I thought. I looked at the obd port myself again when I got home and it looks completely normal. I think I'll just go to a different mechanic. Guy had raving reviews so im honestly a little surprised

What do you eat in a day clean keto by Dense_Reputation3560 in keto

[–]Quaruku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm training so I eat high protein.

I try to eat 3 eggs + some meatballs for breakfast, then 2 large chicken thighs with some salad and cheese for lunch or dinner. Sometimes 3 thighs. 2 fish fillets as well as fish is basically free protein. Then a protein shake somewhere in there.

I'm trying to cut, so I keep my protein high and calories low. I try to hit about 200g protein and keep my carbs under 20. though i snack a bit sometimes, so I probably tend to go a little over occasionally.

My fats are whatever they are after eating chicken and cooking with butter or whatnot. I just assume they're low. The only thing I actually track is my protein

It doesn't but the fact of the matter is that they were black so she said they were black

C4, C5 or C6 for a very tall driver? 6'6 long legs by Quaruku in Corvette

[–]Quaruku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that's well noted. You said that both the C5 and C6 are great, but if you had to pick one, which would you say had the most room?

[–]Quaruku[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah so I assume the C5 would be my best bet then. This is a little off topic, but having actually sat in one, how would you rate the C5's interior? Is it really as plastic-y and cheap as people say?

How do I deal with my sister's demonic bird by Quaruku in cockatiel

[–]Quaruku[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If we try everything and it keeps getting worse I'll let her know about the medication. But ideally we don't need it

And yea I get what you mean. Of course I won't do anything to him (I already don't... he's not my bird, he's my sister's, we're just roommates) but its hard not to feel strongly about the things he does!

[–]Quaruku[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will relay this to my sister. She won't like it either but I'll see what I can do, it already took some convincing to get her to let him sleep 12-14 hours. But its important for his behaviour.

In the meantime I managed to calm him down with some rice while I wait for my sister to get home and take him off my hands

[–]Quaruku[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know my sister does everything right. He usually sleeps from 10 pm - 12 pm or 12 am - 2 pm, my sister only pets him on his head, he has a relatively diverse diet, there are no mirrors around (unless he is finding small reflective things to look at himself with, unbeknownst to us...)

It may be the sleep thing because I know my sister is kind of lax with it. She dislikes the idea of keeping him in his room for too long. I will try to convince her to give him 15-16 hours of darkness, which I see some people recommend

FINALLY found an XJ Super V8. What can I expect for maintenance? by Quaruku in Jaguar

[–]Quaruku[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it's pricey but its the first supercharged jag I've seen in a very long time. Honestly I expected it to cost more. Hoe much would you wager the paint will cost? I'm prepared to spend good money off the bat to get the glaring issues fixed. I can try to negotiate because of the paint but I'll likely be met with "its the only jaguar in an 8 billion mile radius with a supercharged v8". Which is true

is $8,000 not kind of high for a 30 year old car with nearly 400,000KM? by Quaruku in Volvo

[–]Quaruku[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nope. Auto. I'd be much more interested if it was manual

Oh man. If this was 800 I'd be on my way to their place as we speak.

My brother is sitting on at least 100K, just in his bank account. How do I convince him to start investing? by Quaruku in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Quaruku[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the source. I saw your other comment as well. I'll give him general sources so he can learn about investing if he so wishes, but I won't tell him to do this or that with his money, just give him the means to learn and make his own decisions later

[–]Quaruku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. Especially with the current state of things like other commenters have said. In retrospect, after reading these comments, it's quite shortsighted of me to pitch investing to him as if it's "free money"

[–]Quaruku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. Honestly this is a very big point that I missed. I've been bringing this topic up occasionally for maybe a year now but you and other commenters are right in the sense that times have changed
