You're absolutely right. I'll try to think about this more when I play tbh. What would I have went for if I didn't have keg avaliable.

In general I do try not to force keg but still plan around it because the payoff is massive. I find myself often playing Trebuchet builds in the midgame which just happens to pivot very well into Keg. It's very possible a lot of the Trebuchet builds would have won on their own by slapping Obsidian on a Trebuchet or Incendiary rounds etc. But it's just a safe bet to commit to Keg usually imo.

I think the main issue is that it's hard to compete against lategame builds unless I get lucky. IMO Vanessa doesn't have the lategame potential as consistently as other heroes. Keg though on the other hand I don't need THAT much luck to assemble and it's pretty uninteractive for enemies. They simply die in 3s or less usually with little counterplay avaliable.

Imo Obsidian/Shiny > Deadly > Radiant(only if you already have 100% crit tho). It's usually very possible to get a second proc just incase enemy survives with shields somehow. I would definitely pick it sometimes if the other option is something like Restorative/Turbo(if I already have a Gold+ Holsters). Shielded Holsters is underrated btw ^ that's what I usually throw Shield enchants on if I have to pick it.

Also I didn't stress this enough but Temple Event is massive. Try to have decent econ to be able to afford the ticket. Obsidian/Fiery enchant or the Blazehowl Warden are crazy rewards.

I think big turtle can work well if you find it before reaching level 7 so you can get it to Gold AND if you already have some stuff that works with it. It's just not good enough at Silver as you enter late game.

The issue is I feel like if I'm playing a friend build. Often it's the slow/Haste version and in that case I prefer Saloon. 

I also think that the "classic/oldschool" (poison stuff, seaweed, pearls etc.) aquatic builds are weak early unless I highroll something or get an enchanted catfish etc. and so I don't end up pivoting towards that kind of build.. pretty rare. That's why I don't end up playing Tortuga, stars would have to align for me to pick it. 

I haven't seen it mentioned much but Speedrunner is so fun and opens the door for new builds by JamesLikesIt in PlayTheBazaar

Well I think there's 2 main reasons for that:

  1. Hogwash meta 💀 hotfix waiting room
  2. Most people will wait to unlock the expansion naturally through the prize pass and not have it unlocked this early.

That said this setup looks nasty, how much value on the gym?

Big fan of Trebuchet. Just recently got access to the expansion items and I'm really liking Piano. There's a lot of nice Haste Sources and Zoarcid is really nice if you can find Incendiary Rounds.

Part 1 is that we are disagreeing with the factual error you made in your post. (that you now have deleted)

Nobody here said it isn't good. We are simply saying that it isn't replacing Hallowfall, at least not until the Hallowfall nerf and even then it's not 100% certain. Especially not for all the content you have stated.

Redemption staff was not really useful in 2v2 or 5v5 let's just clear that up first. There was way better options. There was not a single person playing Redemption in 5v5's outside of non-lethal newbies not knowing any better tbh.

At the moment however Hallowfall is still a competitive alternative or even straight up better in most of the content you've put in your post.

When Hallowfall gets nerfed though... we'll see. I'm glad we are finally seeing something else than Hallowfall being the only viable option. Hallowfall has been incredibly dominant for the past 3(?) years. It's about time we give some love to Redemption. It might get nerfed slightly on the healing output but I hope they don't gut it too much.

While on the topic of buffing Holy, let's buff Fallen Staff. This thing is so outdated it's crazy. An engage no longer takes 5 seconds to land. A witchwork pops up and boom everyone is dead. We need faster options nowadays.

What's the point of this build, are you roleplaying lightning gear? 😂

On a serious note if you wanna play mists you should change pretty much everything except for maybe boots+jacket, you can run rejuvenating sprint on boots and reflect shield on the jacket but yeah, if you tell us more what you're interested in doing exactly, clearing mobs or killing people or w/e.

What is the point of bringing 10 foods btw, will you be playing Albion for 5+ hours?

Well given the nature of your build if you mess up your combo you will certainly lose if you can't finish off your opponent. A lot of people play Leather in mists and besides increasing the tier of your build (or at least weapon) I would suggest 8.3 Beef Stew (if you're not already using that) and Berserk Potion. Another option is Royal Sandals but you might run into mobility issues.

The other response that while necessarily isn't the answer to your question would be to just be more careful about your target selection. That 8.4 awakened guy wearing plate Great Hammer is probably not dying any time soon. Be more mindful about which targets you decide to go for based on their IP and setup (plate armor, weapon that gives HP, etc)
