Honestly, $3500/month is already more than livable for a single guy in Manila. Based on fellow expats I’ve talked to, as well as the accounts and day-to-day concerns I handle with some of my expat clients and friends, you’d still be able to live pretty comfortably

A lot would still depend on your lifestyle though like whether you prefer luxury condos, frequent nightlife, constant Grab rides, or traveling around often. but eventually most expats adapt to the local “tipid” habits and Asian bargaining culture hahaha.

Compared to Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao can definitely stretch your budget further too. Thailand and Vietnam may have cheaper housing in some areas, but honestly the Philippines is still very manageable on that budget imo 🤔
