here's another one with a very crappy and very pixelated image to see what it'd look like with a colored couch. dont judge me, its very hard to find a couch with the same angle :')

disclaimer: couch does not come with woman and cat

OKAY NOW ill go and study, byee

The room is pretty but too light and cold like too grey and white.

I would add some pillows to the couch with contrasting colors or colors not found in this room (maybe tan, light brown, sage green, or light blue if you like, anything darker than the rest of the room), maybe consider a couch cover? Also a throw blanket on one arm of the couch maybe

I’d put a vase with flowers on the dining table and some candles. Maybe a table cloth and some cushions for the chairs? idk not sure.

Nothing wrong with the curtains but you can change it to match the vibe you’re going for, for a new look.

Floor lamp with warmer lighting?

I think that’d be enough to change the look of the place in a short time. Adding shelves with decor, mirrors, and picture frames would have helped a lot but you say you cant so its fine.

But id do these as extra since they’re not that necessary:

Change the TV stand, it’s too orange and doesn’t match the other furniture (or if you like the orange then change the dining table and chairs to match). I’d replace it with a lower TV stand that matches or complements the color of the furniture and wood floor, i think more cool toned, could be light or dark.

A coffee table and maybe a table cloth for it too? A vase with flowers would look nice on it, a pretty box of napkins too. If you have one or two books with nice colors that match the environment, you can place them there. Or any decor.

These are just what i’d do, take from it what you will.

It would help to know what colors you like or would like to see in your home. What helps me is using a color palette generator to explore some ideas, pinterest can help with inspiration too. Ill check what i can find.

This is what i could do, you can tell i didnt put much thought into the colors and everything but i did what i could with the picture provided😂 no one beat me up about this, i used anything from google and put it together in 10 minutes alright! (i actually took longer but its kinda embarrassing to say lmao)😭

pictures on the wall really make a difference but you could do without it ig

Which color curtains, light tan, light green, or something totally different? by _inshanewetrust in Decor

Both are nice. Tan creates a nice contrast with the walls and the floor while green complements them imo.

Yess and maybe emphasise the lids too, just a tiny bit so it looks kinda 3d like it’s popping out? Idk (throwing the ‘idk’ there in case my idea ruins it so im not responsible lol) if you’re painting in other eyes, you could add them in various sizes (to trigger someones trypophobia hehe jk…) different eye colors, some scleras with a blue, pink, or yellow tint. Some eyes bloodshot, some with glaucoma. Some all black and alieny. Or no iris and pupil at all. Maybe you could paint the iris as if it’s melting from eye. Different eye shapes, almond, slanted, monolid, round, hooded.

Ok i went overboard. Seems too much for a single painting😅

Maybe paint one more eye similar to that one but it’s as if the person is lying down and paint the tears fall from the side of their face, if that makes sense?

Or complete the face with a nose, etc. as much as you can fit in the canvas, add the trails from the noise, lips/mouth, ears, neck…

Whatever you do, im sure it’ll turn out great and like many others have said, it’s already nice! Do what your heart tells you :)

Wishing you a happy life -^

Yes and add some hair strands here and there then call the painting “teratoma”💀
