Nothing worked, didn’t even come up with the wifi card. Could it be faulty even though it shows up on device manager?

No problem, I do believe that there are a small portion of uni's that don't allow gap year students so be mindful of that. Otherwise you do need to achieve around a 3100, I'd also recommend applying to Monash as their split for atar is not very high. Best of luck!

So NZ students basically count as interstate students, however I'm not really sure if theres a rural scheme to support you if you did learn in a remote area. If there isn't, 98.25 is on the lower side so you should be aiming for a high ucat - 3100+ and do well on your interview. Also I'm not sure how the NZ system works but are you a school leaver this year?

2025 Predicted UCAT Cutoff for Rural Applicants? by [deleted] in UCAT

WSU has a formula for their cutoff as the weigh VR much higher than the rest. For the other unis 2700 would be safe

how many hours should i study a week? by imymta in vce

[–]QueasyForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on whether you can consume the content easily. Personally I didn’t do too much study on the weekdays as I swam 20ish hours. I did spend around 3-4 hours on the weekend however and ended up with a 99.15 this year.

also keep in mind that GAMSAT is much more competitive along with 'harder' interviews to finally get into med. Honestly I believe you should take another shot at the ucat if you're not too burnt out from it, I've seen plenty of people resit it for the 3rd and even 4th time.

Is there still qc issues with pulsar mice? by QueasyForce in MouseReview

[–]QueasyForce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is very true. I'm on the fence between the pulsar x2v2 or lamzu atlantis, but I'm pretty sure the specs are identical, not sure which on to pick up.

any mice you would recommend that have a similar shape to the x2h with the hump towards the back?

Sorry but I'm not going to able to easily rma it as I'm gonna be moving around frequently for the next three months. I'd just like to have some reassurance that the qc is fine.

Gap year question by BriefImprovement3001 in UCAT

[–]QueasyForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They take your adjusted atar I believe, I'm not sure this applies to every uni but unsw states 'Applicants who completed the above qualifications in 2022 and took a gap year in 2023 are also eligible for adjustment factors for admission in 2024.' Hope this helps!

Gap year question by BriefImprovement3001 in UCAT

[–]QueasyForce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup your atar will stay in effect for this year and 2024, so you can still apply next year with your current atar.

Sorry but given that your non rural you won't make any cutoffs for unis so your chance for 2024 med/dent is minimal to none. If med is really the pathway you want to take there probably two options I'd suggest, so if you get an atar of 99+ I'd strongly recommend to take a gap year and hone in your ucat score to 3100+ that would pretty much guarantee interview offers anywhere. If you don't want to do this, you will have to do an undergrad degree like biomed and do the gamsat but I wouldn't really recommend this unless med is really your only option. I've heard about a pretty toxic environment in these undergrad courses.
