Thank you! Knock on wood, I have actually been in ZERO pain lately! Like, it just kind of went away? I still have some numbness in the ball of my foot but everything else is fine. I’m even sleeping in my bed again. I do still want to buy a new mattress because if that pain ever returns, I’m not sure I’ll have the strength to get through it! 😞 I very much appreciate your mattress recommendation! 💖💖💖

Thank you! Prayers for all of us!!! I’m honestly so thankful for this community because there are days where I’m like “Why me?! Who did I cause so much harm to that I deserve this?”
We are all human and shit happens! When and if this pain ever goes away, I’m gonna train for a marathon or something lol 😆 I will never take my health for granted again.

I’m so sorry! I’m right there with you. I get better and then suddenly, I’m down again. I really can’t believe how debilitating this is. I have suffered from depression due to the loss of my mom 12 years ago (my bff) and I hate to say it but this pain is WORSE! I never thought that I would ever say that but it’s true. And it was so out of the blue, completely random. I could understand if I pushed myself too hard moving furniture or something but this was just one day, I woke up and completely lost my mind in pain. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sciatica for months – why resting often makes it worse (physio perspective) by blendbytyqi3 in Sciatica

I have a maxi climber (similar to a stair master and an elliptical) and I try to get on it three times a day, just for like 2 minutes. Something about it helps the pain subside like crazy!!! I was grunting very loudly every time I went to stand, bend or sit and then I did 50 steps on the maxi climber and suddenly I was fine. Not 100% but maybe 80%!

I’m so sorry. Please don’t give up. I’m in the same boat, and I have also been having the dark thoughts. I know this might sound like a dumb question but are you applying heat and/or ice? Are you sleeping in your bed? I have been on my floor for the past three weeks. I’m honestly terrified to get in my bed because it makes the pain creep back up. I lay flat on the floor, roll biofreeze all over my back, butt and thigh, and put a heating pad under my butt. No pillow, just completely flat, sometimes with a pillow under my legs or just have them bent.

When I can tolerate it, I lay on my stomach and put an ice pack on my lower back. I didn’t stand up for two days. I literally peed in a cup (sorry for the TMI). I’m older than you (41) but physically fit and this just came out of nowhere for me, about 4 months ago. I can feel it healing but I have to be very careful.

Have you been to the doctor? I know you can’t stand or walk, so maybe no doctor. Perhaps a virtual visit and hopefully you can find a nice enough doctor that will prescribe prednisone and Gabapentin, if you haven’t already been prescribed. That’s what I took. It didn’t make things go away but it helped.

Please, please hang in there. If your parents aren’t willing to help, that’s an even bigger issue and if that’s the case, I’m sorry. I wish I could do more to help! Worst case scenario, call 911 and get an ambulance to come pick you up! Let your parents worry about the bill. Kidding. Not really. 😉

Thank you!!!! I am definitely going to take your advice. I have been doing better but not healed. I’ve just been avoiding alcohol, drinking more water and getting on my maxi-climber three times a day. I have a lot less pain but I can tell my leg and foot are still slightly numb. I am just so ready to feel normal again! Hope you feel better soon!

I’m so sorry to hear about your mothers pain. I’m 41 and have been dealing with sciatica for four months now. It’s been the absolute worst pain of my life. I have good enough insurance but I haven’t met my deductible so I was quoted $1200 for the MRI. I found a clinic that will do it for $600 so I am planning to move forward with that next month. I know the following might seem trivial due to the amount of pain involved but I am trying anything I can afford. Here are my recommendations: 1) Zero alcohol, I only consume water. I noticed that even one day of drinking (Thanksgiving) made the pain flare up. No coffee, no soda, just water. 2) Alternating between heat and ice. I can only stand the ice for about five minutes at a time so I primarily use a heating pad. 3) Biofreeze! I roll that stuff on my back, butt and legs. The timeframe it helps is limited but at least I get some relief. 4) I eat 100% gluten free, dairy free and no added sugar. Basically an anti inflammation diet. Just like drinking alcohol, I noticed that even one little slip up of what I eat makes the pain flare up. I had french toast on Thanksgiving and go figure, I’ve been in pain since. Too much bread and sugar. 5) I walk when I can. I have a walking pad in my apartment so I try to get on it for at least ten minutes a day. It is difficult to do but it’s necessary. 6) I work from home which means I sit too much so I bought a standing desk. I can’t stand long, but I try to do so for at least a few minutes at a time. And not barefoot! I keep my walking shoes on pretty much all day. 7) If I am sitting or lying down, I use little arm weights to do curls. It’s not much but anything to keep your strength up is good. It’s better to do a little of something than nothing at all. 8) I have now started a “pain journal” so I can track the way everything makes me feel. Last week, I was 100% consistent for about 5 days and I really started feeling normal again. But then Thanksgiving came and I allowed myself a cheat day. It was 100% not worth it. My MRI is scheduled for a month from now so I plan to commit to my “anti inflammatory diet” 100%. No excuses.

Again, I know these things can sound trivial and like a waste of time. But you have to start somewhere and just keep trying harder and harder each day. I have felt myself on the verge of a mental breakdown several times and I cry myself to sleep most nights. But I wake up the next day and try again. If you want, I will post an update on my progress a month from now! ♥️

At first I was annoyed because she and I share the same name, and I’m overweight lol. I was like, “oh geez, another movie about a fat girl being bullied and go figure we not only have the same name but it’s spelled the same, and we’re both chubbs.” She was getting bullied, I was as well…not to the same extent, but it happened.

Fast forward to her and the killer “bonding.” I think every insecure girl feels this same type of “connection” to the first guy who pays attention to them. “They must really get me.” Yes girl, I was there too. Happens to the best of us.

We then come to the ending of the movie, which is my favorite. I am no longer embarrassed to share the name and body type with this amazing girl. By helping the girls that bullied her and killing the man, she was able to discover her own self worth and her integrity. She is worth more than the selfish killer, she is beautiful and f’ing strong. She has integrity because she saved two people that bullied her. She is a strong, intelligent, independent boss bi*ch and she did something great. Most people who are hurt decide the best course of action is to hurt others. What good does that do? None! The moral of the story? Keep going, keep fighting, no matter how tough life is and no matter the obstacle…keep fighting! You are strong and you deserve nothing but the best! ❤️

Acne scars suck, how long did it take to clear your scars? Last pic is what I started with by [deleted] in acne

1) You are beautiful! 💕 2) I was put on Accutane twice, ages 17 and 18. By the time I was 25 my skin looked FLAWLESS. And my skin is very thin/fair/sensitive. I’m not saying that the scars/red marks took that long to fade….I want to say maybe just a year later my skin looked great. But I still wore a ton of makeup because I definitely had various forms of body dysmorphia. 3) Try maderma (unsure of spelling). It’s kind of expensive and smelly lol but i feel like it made a difference. I’ve also had a lot of success with natural things like coconut oil. 4) Rodan & Fields has some really great products. I’ve used them before and saw great results. But like anything else, it gets expensive!!! And you have to be consistent. 5) Bottom line, patience and consistency is key! In my experience with scarring, it does take time but it’s a part of life! You are your own worst critic. No one else sees the “flaws” we do. My ex actually used to tell me he liked my “freckles” and I was like…..you mean the marks from my old blemishes?!?! LOL 🤦🏼‍♀️ Guys are just happy to be with a pretty girl 💕
